Thank you for your informative presentation. It is very similar to my project management template structure. I add Conditional Formatting to my Status column, where: "Not Started" is Pink, "In Progress" is Yellow, "Complete" is Light Green, and "On Hold" is Medium Purple with Yellow text. The color formatting allows a quick assessment of the project task Status.

When adding the data validation, your guidance does not match up to mine and I can't move forward until I understand it. Any advice?
