Yeah, when it was a whole crystal it lost its effects away from Mimban. It didn't lose it's strength as tiny fragments in Lightsabers though. Hence why it was used all throughout history.

@@deswoodwdcollar8843 there are different crystals such as the lava crystal which can turn your saber into a lava sword, when you swing it it sends lava at your opponent burning them if they touch it, then we have this one. Then we have the red crystal, we’ll as you know it’s the way to the darkside and only a person filled with anger,hatred and fear can acquire that type of crystal. Then we have a dark saber, even though it’s not a light saber it still has the same attributes but it can only be weld by a person with a clear mind otherwise it will become very heavy like you saw with mando.

What about the Ghost-Saber? It’s an invisible blade in Legends that distorts the vision of individuals that were hit by it’s blade. Along with it being unpredictable in duels to the point where it was forbidden by Jedi and Sith

I would say it’s one of the few giant kyber crystals powered the Death Star
And by taking tiny shards off of the actual Crystal they can actually enhance the light side abilities by literally sharing the burden across many people.. that's why the most powerful Jedi are usually on the council they are supposed to be in meditative States 24/7 so they can act as the fuse box / transformer / relay for the rest of the Jedi.

Since I don't think anyone has pointed out the spelling. I found it online. The normal lightsaber crystals are called Kyber crystals. This one here is spelled Kaiburr.

Ok there's a lightsaber crystal that i wouldn't say is powerful but it's one of the more dangerous crystals out there for both parties involved, it's called the ghostfire crystal and well it's an assassin's crystal practically invisible and silent there's a reason why it's dangerous for both parties involved as it could also cut their wielders hand off if they're not careful, you'd need a really strong connection to the force to know where the blade is at all times so you don't cut your own hand off
