This why you have to start deploying actual win conditions. Having a balanced army is cool its how i play, but you still need a plan. Here a simple example. Range focus fires left side of shield line. This should quickly free up some frontline which i can then use to do 1 of 3 very important things. 1. Allow them to rest and cover for your fleeing frontline to continue protecting range (weakest and most passive move) 2. Use them to help overwhelm enemy frontline (good when the enemy have a more melee focused army 3. Use them to pressure enemy backline (good when enemy have a more backline focused army) This is SUPER simplifying things as units, factions, buffs, items and even terrain will all change how you approach a battle and admittedly i'm making assumptions here, but from my experience a lot of people just make basic line and then either allow range to just shoot whatever or focus fire key units. The first not being a good idea and the second is a solid option, but allowing the frontline to clash and naturally playout without and further assistance will usually end in your entire frontline collapsing all at the same time generally speaking. This is really happening because of two things, enemy AI will attack your frontline even when its not optimal to do so. If you're playing on any difficult that is normal or higher they receive buffs to their units which typically will mean their frontline will slightly outlast yours in a vaccum head to head. With exceptions of factions like dwarves who's frontline obviously is near impossible to break and takes forever to kill. A few others too excel at strong frontlines. I just think people like to focus to much on damage units not understanding how important the line is (if your of course going to play a balanced army). Just have to look at it like a chess board. Your range is like your bishops. They are strong units and are key to you winning, but it would be near impossible to win with any strong piece if you don't have pawns capturing space and forcing bad trades.

Eagles are pretty good at running single entities down - their attack animation is a straight charge with relatively low mass and does not suffer from animation shenanigans like most do.
A balanced army is what you might intuitively think makes sense, some Frontline units to hold them off your archers, some archers, some cavalry to disrupt their archers/run down units/hammer and anvil with your Frontline. A cheese army in this instance is forgoing variety and just building archers and some heroes. At the end of the day most of your killing power comes from your archers, archers can deal damage without taking any, making them great for fighting multiple battles in one turn. With a checkerbox formation your archers can do a fine job of holding for themselves, while dramatically improving the output potential of your Army. People consider this cheese because while it's effective it's clearly not the developer intended optimal strategy.
Doomstacks are normally a ‘cheesy’ army. Any army that is built to exploit weaknesses in the AI is cheesy. For example, a trio of Wizards with Arcane Conduit, backed up by powerful line infantry, or a host of monstrous infantry Or a single Lord with nineteen gyrobombers… Stuff like that A Balanced Army is just that. You build like, 4 spears, 2-4 swords/dual weaps/great weapons, 1-2 Halberds, 6 archers, or 4-5 archers and 1-2 artillery, and finished with cavalry

It's a trap, Franz campaign is no longer an easy one while learning the game. Balthazar's is much more manageable either staying in the corner of the map, or selling everything for 25k gold and getting teleported to Altdorf with massive buffs for 10 turns. If you want tips for Franz what I usually do is: be very aggressive against the secessionist. Let the beastmen suicide against Aldorf's garrison, immediately retake middenland, and then push against the greenskins and/or Festus.
you always kick ass at full speed, but i would LOVE to see a time or two how perfect your plays can get if you allow yourself to pause extremely often and super micro every thing.
I would have put the sisters in a square formation with the phoenix guards in the centre and the silverin guards in the periphery. In that way two meleee units would always be able to pincer the summons while the sisters could reposition.

Unbalanced archer + Gatling gun stacks are real cocky until they get ambushed, Face endless cav or something else they suddenly can't deal with The balanced army is the best due to being handle everything.
High elves are a proud warrior race and by refusing to use a staunch line of spears you are disgracing the race. The chaos in the voice on this one lol
Eagles are pretty good at running single entities down - their attack animation is a straight charge with relatively low mass and does not suffer from animation shenanigans like most do.
14:42 "The moon people"? Oh so thats where that joke from Rome 1 comes from then, is a reference of Chaos thing?
Hello, I have a question, what is a cheesy army and what is a balanced army?
For example, a trio of Wizards with Arcane Conduit, backed up by powerful line infantry, or a host of monstrous infantry
Or a single Lord with nineteen gyrobombers…
Stuff like that
A Balanced Army is just that. You build like, 4 spears, 2-4 swords/dual weaps/great weapons, 1-2 Halberds, 6 archers, or 4-5 archers and 1-2 artillery, and finished with cavalry
his stats are magnificent
I do think there's value in the cav for skirting/running down enemies to some extent, but yeah, replace the spears with a sky full of arrows for sure.
Textbook gameplay this video well done!
Guys help, how do I win as empire? I keep on losing everything the moment I do something and franz keeps on sobbing, I thought it was meant for beginners I don’t undertandd
But Legend...Why so salty, Legend! 😄😄
Siggy's musk too stronk
you always kick ass at full speed, but i would LOVE to see a time or two how perfect your plays can get if you allow yourself to pause extremely often and super micro every thing.
He usually plays in legendary difficulty and you cannot use pause commands or half speed there so there's not much opportunity.
This channel makes me feel like building balanced army is the worst possible thing to do😂😂😂
i recently played Sigvalds campaign and it was actually fun
Sigvald disrespects wamen, Legend upset
UA-cam claims this isn’t English and it translates it to men instead of wamen 😂 no idea what language its detecting lmao
you sweating with balanced army is so funny to watch.
Sigvald can be soo much dangerous and effective if he is just get a single donkey at least...( or all the legendary heroes with low mobility).
Should've had a fourth coffee before playing this one!
I would have put the sisters in a square formation with the phoenix guards in the centre and the silverin guards in the periphery. In that way two meleee units would always be able to pincer the summons while the sisters could reposition.
Good idea
Hey, just playing my first warhammer 3 campaign with high elves (tyrion no dlc) and dragon princes are crazy expensive, super slow to recruit and upgrade and they really underperformed, even with all the lord bonuses and researches.
I haven't seen ure rant over them, but they're pretty bad :(
How would Siggy get a Tzeentch hero? Isn't he dedicated to Slaanesh?
ah yes balanced armys without corner camping.... absolute mess :D
Honestly surprised you didn't just use the Silver Helms to kill the daemonettes. Could have kept 1 unit of them back and hotkeyed as a daemonette hammer
The one thing I'm sure Mark of Chaos did better than Total Warhammer is let characters join units.
ehw legend should have hold 1 unit of cav in reserve to pin down the summons ehw
Lionheart is one of the best examples of being able to build strong balanced forces that punch above their weight.
But Legend, a balanced army is cheese!
TRAILER RXN??
As a lothernian sea guard used to say, an army that doesn't have the protection offered by eagle bolt throwers is either led by a very brave or very foolish commander. Where is your arti with ability to hide, mr. Player? Do yourself a favour, get at least a couple.
Btw if you are so rich to afford to build the cavalry building, why having silver helms without shields? 🛡
I think they take 2 turns to recruit
Unbalanced archer + Gatling gun stacks are real cocky until they get ambushed,
Face endless cav or something else they suddenly can't deal with
The balanced army is the best due to being handle everything.
I love this title.
High elves are a proud warrior race and by refusing to use a staunch line of spears you are disgracing the race. You should be ashamed of yourself for constantly min/maxing the game to intentionally destroy yours and your viewer's immersion. The AI is designed to give the player a challenge not to be abused by a scummy cheeser with no respect to the units and lore provided by GW.
Okay guy. It's a game I'm pretty sure we all find our own way of playing maybe don't watch his videos if they make you upset or do cause you like to make yourself mad. Either way you just watched and commented, so it's a win for him whether you liked his strategy style or not.
he is playing to win if you don't like that watch someone else
Don't click on his vids, if you don't like him play. Peace out.
By all my guys, it's a copypasta
If this isn't a joke, go outside and find something more interesting to do. I promise you it will help you
Hate watching is very unhealthy so if you don't like legend's cheesy Warhammer gameplay (which isn't going to change) I recommend finding other channels that suits you more.
I mostly watch legend to sate my curiosity and learn more about Warhammer 3 mechanics
the follower to increase the ambush success is for hero not lord fyi
Personally I play mostly balanced armies becouse I like to rp a little and it's not that easy as with cheesy armies.
Wait, Sigvald is disintegrating now??? Pretty sure he didn't before?
The update that came with the Champions of Chaos DLC gave him a skill that gives him the Daemonic trait alongside a few other bonuses.
Balanced armies are better prepared to threats like summons, a lot of mobile units and big numbers of lowtier trash, that would soak a lot of arrows. AI is just too stupid to make any of that really dangerous
2:24 that might explain why fighting late game Dark Elves this patch is fucking just unbearable if you have the misfortune of fighting near one of their black arks, nothing but pyrrhic victory after pyrrhic victory up to the Northwest.
ai is it bad or good in game?
Bad mostly
It's basic. It looks very competent while you learn the game, but has very big weakness and Legend loves to abuse them for our pleasure
Sigvald is the best
6:20 am is a crazy upload time
He's from australia . Also i think he streams and works during nights for viewrship reasons. But ia m not sure about the last point
01:20 p.m. for me
time zones are fascinating
It's 11:20pm in Sydney, 8:20pm in Perth, 12:30pm in UK
Other timezones is fucking wild right?
it's 12:20,@+0 which is the standard time.
Only americans would assume the whole world is the same time as them 😂😂
@@MsArchitectschannel Except they never did that. The video uploaded on their side at 6:20, he made a comment about that, that was it.
Taking a simple comment (that is accurate on his side) and twisting it into "ree typical Americans thinking it's all about them" just so you can act sarcastic & maybe mock them ain't great.
its so stupid that High Elves, that have one of the best Cavalrys in Lore have only shit cavalry in Game...
Edit: and yes better than Bretonia. A Bretonian that beats a High Elf(or ay Elf) in a Joust is awarded special Honours because it is so rare. Bretonia just has more Cavalry.
it's just silver helms that suck. Reavers are fast and have good melee stats for their purpose. Dragon princes are insane. Silver helms are just worse than most other mid tier cav, primarily knights of the realm... They used to be faster than other heavy cav back when most heavy cav was 75 speed but not anymore.
@tackywheat1295 nah, Dragon Princes Always underperform.
And its exactly the silver Helms that, Lore wise, make Up the bulk of the "heavy" high Elf calvary.
@@martinnolhaf3151 I suppose it depends on what faction you're playing. Dragon princes are insane in imriks campaign. They will trample through anything that isnt a single entity.
@tackywheat1295 yeah Imrik makes Them good. But in General Not so much..
And Imrik has a Bad campaign starting away from Ulthuan.
@@martinnolhaf3151Imrik and his starting unit of dragon princes can easily kill half a stack by themselves with no support when played optimally. I tested it disbanding everything else.
Add a supporting life lord for some healing and they don't even need any army for field battles.
I rather have grail knights with perfect vigor and wedge but dragon princes can be very effective if you can pay them enough attention.
Legend haters in shambles.
Signals vs felix jeager. Who is prettiest.
Ehmm you lost 413 men and woman and horses.
Not enough sexual innuendo in this video, 0/10 :P
I do kinda dislike the balance of having Chaos have super powered heroes that are just better then anything your faction has, and if they are unbreakable, you defeat their army, then are forced to sacrifice a unit to hold them in place while every missile unit pours hundred of rounds of ammo into him, until he finally dies. It's not fun to fight against. There is no tactics. It's just a pain in the ass... And then they're just back a few turns later so you have to repeat it. Archon the ever-annoying, I'm looking at you!
I wonder which one is more annoying, Sigvald or Vlad.
Sigvald at least has the decency to stay wounded if you defeat him. Vlad is always there until you wipe the faction.
