It looks like this design can be made from half- hexagons. You need to sew in rows, starting with the white half-hexagons, then trim the edges, and sew the cut pieces on opposite ends of the row.
Yes, it would! It could be such a quick tip to sew it that way, too! Just wish I had that template, and that I'd had it before cutting just squares for my previous scrap quilts.😏
I’ve missed our nightly 11:00pm meetings Carol!😂 Hope all is well in your world, thanks so much for the new quilt tutorial….Im loving it and figuring out my fabric for it today!
I kind of miss the challenge of a block each day but I don't think I could keep it up for another year! This year I am focusing on making quilt tops and using scraps and I am having a great time! Thanks for watching!
@@CarolThelen Honestly….I don’t know how you did that “Block a Day” tute every night. It was awesome for all of us, but dang….you deserve a Star on the Quilters walk of fame! I’m loving your scrappy quilt tops, they are right up my ally so I can use my scraps. I so appreciate your time and effort!
I love this pattern and think it would look great in red and white! Thanks for your wonderful instructions. This would, indeed, be great for any scraps.
Love this pattern! Thanks for showing the cutting for Accuquilt. I would not have thought of folding the fabric then cutting 4 layers. So much easier 😊
This jumped out at me to make a block Now 😂. I have been organizing scraps going on 4 weeks now. From this point on I will cut for this and use as a leader/ender on my many WIP's. Thanks for great tutorial and pressing thoughts. Worked great on the sample I made.
I love this block using the staggered version. I made a charity quilt in grunge last year and there will be another one this year too. It also makes a good block to make cushions to match a quilt too. One of my favourite blocks from last year.
Thanks for a great pattern! I just made one using 3 1/2” strips and using the EZAngle ruler for the HST. So easy with just one size strips. Pretty much emptied my purple scrap drawer. I’m happy. 😊😊Thanks again.
Looks like a fun pattern!! I l9ve the scrappy happy tops. I don't know if I have enough squares to make this, now, though. I've pretty much gone through so many scraps to make 5 quilt tops, in the past few years. You gave some good instructions and tips here. Thank you!
I tried to get the 6" x 12" finished block to work with layer cakes but you cannot get all 3 pieces from one 10" square. You can easily make the 4" x 8" finished block though! Good luck and thanks for watching.

I am trying to download the free pattern for the Squiggles quilt. I can't even find it. Can anyone help me find and download the pattern as I will truly love to make it. Thanking you in advance JUDITH
Just verifying, if I want to make 1 block, I need two dark 3 inch squares & two light 3 inch squares, and two dark 4 inch squares & two light 4 inch squares that I use to make half square triangles. (Trying to use my scraps, but I like the cohesiveness of the one print in the dark.) thanks.
