The best instructor and instructional videos EVER!!!!
Thank you Sean!!!
I love the short choke, with the way my arms are, i can lever so much force into the opponents neck if i wanted to.
Awesome Cyrus!
Thank you professor!
ive got called out for using this instead of rnc by a black belt. i was trying to explain that for some reason i find this so much easier and get a way higher success rate on higher belts using it.
It's a powefull choke indeed.
I like this style of video.
Thank you.
Bas Rutten’s version of the short choke is called the windpipe crusher.
Awesome!
As long as you maintain
a 'v' under your opponents chin I would guess it would still be considered a blood choke even with the gable grip. Does it take longer for a person to go unconscious using this method or require more effort?
If your opponent rolls to the bad side can you still finish ? or will it be difficult like a rear naked if you roll to that side(Choking arm point up, not touching the ground). I also so another video where the instructor swears on twisting/torqueing body after the elbow is behind the back to really choke the person
You can still finish the choke if your arms are already in position and hands locked, making sure your head is under his head preventing him from sliding out. I don't like the twisting/torqueing of the body because it creates more movement, potentially allowing movement from your opponent to escape as well.
No such thing as a "blood choke." Chokes attack the airway, strangles attack the arteries.
wow sorry about that.
Well, the two are so close together it is hard to do one without doing the other, so there's that.
come on Adrian! no blood necklock either i guess, or air neckbar!
no, chokes are when you choke on something, and it is a strangle when you actually cut away blood/air externally.
