- So myself and Old Skool Legend Steve Geal with the recent bad weather went and checked out the new skills area along with riding some more delights that Swinley Bike Hub has to offer due to its well maintained purpose built MTB Trail network.
Great Day please bear in mind you need to be a member to ride the skills area (The Summit)

"oh, puddles", "oh, mud". It's February, Royal. Those of us who don't usually go to NZ are used to it. Bloody sunshine Commando ;-) Ha ha ha!
😂😂😂
Haha just watched this for the first time, go to comments section. There’s Mark gobbing off 🤣
I rode at Hawley trails a lot in my mid teens. Met quite a few pro riders including gilly. He was an inspiration and a true gent. Mtb and bmx pros are the role models and influences kids like me needed. Keep on keeping on boys. Respect.
This being my ‘local’ or closest trails love to see you ride it 🔥🤘🏻
Lucky man they look amazing, away off to find my own... ⛰️
Same the trails are sick 🔥
Glad you recognize GURKHA Ben mate🤗
Grand day and good ide for the so sending #SwihleyBikeHub in the. Enduro session's in the bikepark #TrailCenter in #SwihleyForest
guy Ben Deakin and guy Steve Geal nice leyend of thes ruts in usa. Saluds of the Santig of Chile 🇨🇱#OiOi 🤘💯🤘😀🤘
Look class when ya flying right behind someone so close nice tracks loving the new bike
Never thought i'd see Swinley through your eyes first... i was meant to go there last year but had to duck out due to injury. now it's on my 2020 to do list. I'll be studying this video for weeks to get the Deaks line :)
Deaks, you should give Tunnel Hill a try with a local guide. Not far from Swinley and lots of hidden jumps, gaps, drops and trails 👌
Jim 86 tru dat although you don’t want to expose the location and get the main table destroyed again
Aiden Emmitt115 good point mate! People keep messing about with the lip at the moment.
@@jamsxr shhhhhh about Tunnel hill
Adrian O'Connor to be fair, if you don’t know where you’re going it won’t be much fun. But you’re right, the last thing it needs is a UA-cam video.
Swinly forest is my place and I am so happy that someone has done a good video on it so it gets some attention. Thank you
Great video guys! It's great to see the new features and improvements they've made over the years to the trails. Definitely going to go down there again once the world is back to normality! ..and hopefully this time I wont come off the bike and break my collar bone! 😂
Them Gurkhas! 🤣🤣🤣 the 3rd man going freestyle. This a sports afternoon was it
Another brilliant video 🤟🤟
Yes Ben nice edit & always good to see Gilly on a bike 🤟🏻
I’ve seen it and it looks sick but the only way your getting in is by paying for a whole year upfront
Unfortunately that is correct, how ever you do get your monies worth with the coaching sessions that they provide, Its a way of managing risk which was put by the Swinley estate but those guys can obviously give you more information, There is more stuff to ride outside of the Skills area though. 😜
It’s a monthly subscription so no need to pay a year upfront at all. Should have given me a shout Ben, just round the corner!
To be fair, you did used to be able to just run it on days when it was “closed” not really anyone to stop you. It was a stupid idea though and people kept underestimating the trails, injuring themselves and now they’re blocked off by those metal bars when not in use. Moral of the story; ride within your limits xD
Nice one, really enjoyed that! Looks mega and with you on the fast and low technique..
So sick that you came to my local
Can't believe you parked at Sainsburys! 😂
So sick that you ride where I always ride ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thought I saw you. The MTB group from RMA Sandhurst were at the top of babymaker as you came up on Wednesday. Gutted not to have thrown out an OiOi for you.
That my local nice to see you ride it
Looks good
Should be able to pay on the day surely like everywhere else. Tenners for 2 hours at the summit and then hit the free trails. Job done.
You should ride swinley more, there’s so much more there that you are unaware of, like in my recent video. Cracking vid tho 🙌🏻💯
What happened to the slope style track they were building near the entrance? That thing was looking sick but seemed to always be closed off..
Gilly is a total steeze merchant!
"Circus"...🤣🤣 oi oi🤙
Great Video bro 👍 Shame you missed the Massive drops, even if you could Just have filmed it
It was too windy and Tom went by that point which meant we couldn’t unlock them,
Haven't been to Swinley for ages, should really make the effort to get over there as it's only 20 minutes away from me.
Just a heads up, for the Progression area (Bike park), there is a year fee you have to pay to access it, it's tiered depending on the amount you ride there. All on the website.
@@TheMrEggy thanks for the heads up dude.
Summit looks sick but I was just wondering how you got in without paying for an membership or did you just cancel it when you left #oioi
I know the head coach Tom Reynolds and obviously did this video to help promote the guys.
I was going to say..... connections are good to have!!!
@BenDeakin fair enough
Ben the man 🔥🤘🤘🤘
Ever ridden at Christchurch adventure park New Zealand?
Great vid are you coming to Nz for Crankworkx
Is it free to ride in that free ride bit?
#oioi
Gilly looks just like Jamesy from Rab C Nesbit.
The thing in your spokes Ben was your spokey dokeys 🤣🤘
The Gurkhas😂
You tight ****, didn't even pay the car park that funds the trails...
Actually park there as there’s a Starbucks after we pack the bikes away if the truth be known 😂🤦♂️
They still haven't sorted that last kicker landing then 😣
Oioi
Oi , puddles !
How come you didn't do the drops in the new bit?!!!
Too windy and they were locked up.
@@BenDeakinMTB
😂 I dont think I've ever seen that bit open!
Do really have to pay £120 to get in though?!??
😂 Couldn't get any more of the summit trail names wrong.
😂😂😂😂
"I imagine the Gurkhas have turned up" ha ha. You can thank them for the braking bumps :)
bet you wish you were in Queenstown though
No denying that 😜😭
If ain't doing the 40ft you deffo ain't done the rampage canyon at 48ft but did build it
It’s not the size of the jump it’s the run in for the 40 footer doesn’t work as you can’t get the speed, Tom who I followed in has tried a number of times and that’s a guy who does the Dark fest 90 foot jump. 🤷♂️
I stand corrected
It really annoys me when people take the piss out of beginners. We were all there once. I would have thought that a sponsored rider would at least pretend to be a better ambassador for the sport. It's the same when pros turn up to little races and complain about catching people in practice. It's just uncool (in the kindest of words).
Hi Paul,
Just to make it clear, which I guess I didn’t, I was a former Royal Marine Commando and the Gurkhas are a Nepalese Natives recruited for the British Army and it was an in house joke not to be taken seriously for anyone in the forces as the Gurkha Regiment are renowned for being fearless individuals that will give anything a go, No offence intended!
I think it is clear to see Paul, especially if you have been watching Ben for a while that there is nothing but respect for the Gurkhas and also MTB riders of all skill levels. It's healthy for a bit of banter, nothing nasty at all.
Definitely agree with Adam on this one, Ben seems to be a straight up guy, never seen any nastiness from him in any vids, respectful dude who enjoys a laugh and shreds like a beast!
Looks pretty shit! But after 4 mins it livened up!
