      Speading misinformation and ignorance is a felony in my moral standards. I mean for fucks sake, do your research before you say something like that! FD is not a fair stage in Smash and never will be

      Not a video game - a sport. Saying FD is neutral is like saying American Football is the "Ultra fair" version of playing international soccer. The ignorance shown really annoys me, and does piss a lot of people off that actually play Smash professionally

    • @evilthoughts6314
      @evilthoughts6314 10 років тому +7

      Final Destination is a completely fair match, it has nothing to run away to, nothing to jump on to create space, nothing that can be a hazard or a life saver, it is just one big platform in the middle of the screen.

      This is pretty accurate.

    • @TheECP
      @TheECP 10 років тому

      3DS does get the special distinction of being portable and basically the same game with slightly less extra content. Which is a huge thing.

    • @fatbluewaffle
      @fatbluewaffle 10 років тому +1

      TheECP it may be portable (which is the main reason you should own the game), but if you're at home there really isn't any reason to play the 3ds version unless you really want to play smash run or you want a low poly experience.

    • @djapster
      @djapster 10 років тому +20

      "IT'S NOT EVEN COMPARABLE!"

    • @MaskedMammal
      @MaskedMammal 10 років тому

      ***** I almost feel a bit cheated. I get why a lot of this was left off of the 3DS version, but certain features like item appearance rate, stamina battles and special smash battles (like flower smash, giant smash, etc) really have no reason to be left out. It feels like a much more barebones experience as a result, and it really didn't have to be that way. There are a lot of places where I simply wish there were more options.
      I got a lot of play out of Kirby Air Ride's city trial mode thanks to the customization you could do in that. As it was the inspiration for Smash Run, I was disappointed to see there are no options available for that mode.
      Being portable gives the 3DS version a huge advantage, and we've been clamoring for a portable Smash for so long. But I can't help but feel they purposely left out a lot of features simply to make the Wii U version look even more amazing by comparison. It's a clever tactic, but unless they update the 3DS one after the Wii U game's release so it has more of those customization features, I'm not happy to see things going this way.

    I found it funny when people were laughing at the wii u I never saw nintendo as a company that needed a powerful machine they always have made games I've been interested in and the best thing about them they showcase their system sellers I mean mario kart, super smash in one year and to be followed by a new zelda next year, nintendo has still got it.

    From the 3DS version, I learned that a Classic Mode match against Charizard^2 (Giant Charizard that gets its hands on a Super Mushroom) on the Prism Tower stage ends up looking like a scene from a monster movie, and if you grab it with Mega Man's one-handed Super Arm lift, it ends up looking like something from an anime.

    I may be quite late on this but fact 25 is incorrect. The wrench on the character does not mean they are a customized characters. It means that if you personally knock that character out during the match, you will get a random custom item as an additional prize. Custom characters DO appear in Classic though. Every character you face after Round 3 is a customized character.

    I am legitimately surprised that people are surprised that they can't play as their own Amiibo's. It's been known since day one at E3.

    So here's my question. Let's say you got your FP (amiibo), train him to your liking, and he reaches level 50. All is good. But later, you notice that the character hasn't been taught the best, and ends up constantly losing to other, "professionally-trained" FPs. Is there a way to reset your amiibo's skills/stats if you want to really change up the FP?

    "all the characters in the game are identical to their 3ds counterpart"
    sweet. I can still spam roll and go to time each match :^)

    Question about Amiibos: Lets say that you train your Amiibo to the max level, without using items. Would I still able to train the amiibo to use items after it hits max level? Or does its learning AI end right there at the max level?

      Amiibos still continue to learn after level 50 (which is the max level.)

      TheMagnum924 So you can training them with or without items? .. so if I train them with and without items ... it would be good doing with both options ?

      Still I think it would be better to teach them once in a while to pick an item before reaching level 50. You don't want them to be completely oblivious before reaching their max level and while they're training. Personally, I'll always train them to use items since I'm one of those weirdos who likes using items in smash.

      alfredo gomez yes and no. id asume that everything exists on a shared permid scale.
      this means that the start at 0
      going stright up with a balance in both is great for them to be able to adabt.
      but if you know how they will be used training them for that kind of fight is better.
      for example with items
      in a no item fight one traind all the way with no items will do better then one trained with and without
      but if the next fights with items the one traind with both will win.
      but if you put in one trained only with items he will win
      if you put items at low the middle one will win as he can switch between the two play styles as needed.

    Great work man. One question, can you summon more than one Pokemon and assist trophy at the same time? If so, what's the max number you can summon?

    So do you have to unlock all the characters again? Isn't it possible to transfer ALL of the data from your 3ds into the Wii U version? since you can do it for the customized mii's for example?

    Will you be able to reset FPs? I'm worried that if I get one and battle with it, it will learn not very helpful skills or in general just have poor AI. Either that, will they have the same level of toughness across all levels?

      I've seen in an IGN video that you can start amiibo over from the beginning.

    I have a question. Has the Melee pause camera returned? I loved that in Melee you had a lot of freedom when moving the camera while the game was paused, but when Brawl came out they limited the movement quite a bit. Can you show us a video on this, please?

    Thanks for this video. It is very nice. I have gotten kinda tired of the 3DS version because of bad vision(even on my XL) and the controller cramping my hands. The WiiU version looks great in those regards and thanks for some of the nice details you included in this video. Making ledges grabable in the stage builder is something I've been wondering about for a long time.

    There were at least 105 challenges in the 3DS version of Smash.
