Cost wise it is very little different than living in a house in a city. Only difference is your house has wheels and you see the country. I found cost when you factor in, initial cost of the vehicle and renovation, insurance, licences, gas, camping space rentals, gas, oil changes, discharge grey tanks costs, refil water tanks, groceries cost more for smaller portion sizes. It adds up very quickly. Biggest was tension living so close to your partner 24 - 7 month after month.
We’ve done both and found it to be about half if not a third of the price as renting in a city. If you know where to go, you rarely have to pay to stay anywhere. And yeah the small space 24/7 is not for everyone. But we enjoy spending time together and have gotten used to it in the 3+ years of tiny living!
I'm late to the party but I'm horrified neither of you wore gloves or masks when stripping all the stuff out of an old and obviously well used ambulance!!!😮😮😮
Captivating video from start to finish of your amazing work. Worth saying over and over …you all are truly inspirational and achievers! Continue to go after your dreams! So proud of you !
I think the extension is great, but I think the table is too wide. You can't stand up when the table is extended. You have to push the table in every time you want to stand up. LG Michel
What was the build budget? And how much did you pay for that ambulance? I'm looking to buy one on the market for about $5k but don't know if I should spend more.
We estimate that the build was around 10k-15k without including the price of the ambulance. We bought our ambulance for $9,000 on Ebay. 5k seems cheap but if it's a good vehicle then you gotta deal!
Is that even legal going down the road in CA? It's fine and beautiful but some states have rules about white light in the back of a vehicle. Just saying you might need to check? Have fun!
If you were going to take out all the storage boxes you should have just bought a box truck That way you wouldn't have had to do all the unnecessary work that you're doing.
I clicked on you're build as I'm looking to build out an ambulance also. After 5 minutes of listening to your background music I just couldn't stay for the whole 32:10 . I don't understand why background music is played??
This is a recap video that is suppose to be entertaining, it would be boring without music. We have our full build documented in over 20 videos with more explanation if you are interested. 🙂
Amazing you guys nocked it out of the park, very enjoyable to watch. Congratulations 🎉

Well done. I like the light colors, as well as the yellow and white on the outside.

Thank you so much! We appreciate your support!!
awesome job you guys!! How do you know what wires to take out?
We ended up taking them all out! But on top of that, the original builders labeled all of them!
Nice 👍🙂
Thank you! 😊
Digging the background music!!! Where’d you get it?
Thanks! I get my music from Artlist.
I wonder if anyone has tried a roof raise on an ambulance. That would be awesome to see.
We thought about doing that but we were worried it would compromise the structure of the ambulance. We've seen other people do it though!
I think the extension is great, but I think the table is too wide. You can't stand up when the table is extended. You have to push the table in every time you want to stand up. LG Michel
Yes it was either that or the table is too far away from you when you eat. Every decision has its pros and cons of course.

Your dog looks like my dog's twin brother....🐕🐕
Awww ☺️ golden's are the best!
Do you have a full price break down?
Unfortunately we do not

Not sure, we were in California for a month and didn't have any issues.
@@stephandmicah Sorry, that was a comment that should not have been for your page. I so apologize! And I love your build so never mind this comment!
Best page! Come on people subscribe 👏🏿
Thank you!! We love your support!
Didn't you sell the Ambo?
We did!
If you were going to take out all the storage boxes you should have just bought a box truck
That way you wouldn't have had to do all the unnecessary work that you're doing.
Well we really only cut out 1 whole box. And ambulances are built much more structurally sound than a box truck.
