- This was a pretty awesome adventure. I headed out on the river with my AT Pro to do some metal detecting, within about 5 minutes of searching I had found a really good signal with my detector, I looked down in the water and seen a plastic bag laying on top of the ground. At first the bag looked like a piece of clay or a rock, but it wasn't. When I picked up the bag coins spilled everywhere! I ended up with $8.10 cents in coins, all of which were in the same bag. Very strange find, there could of been cash in there too. Later that day I came across an old axe head, pocket knife and a gold wedding ring that someone lost.

Great video Nugget. That big key you found at the start is an ignition key for a Ford. Years ago I had a 1968 model Ford and the ignition key looked just like that. Thanks again.

I've carried one of those crosses before! They are made by a family owned operation called Cross in my Pocket. Usually given to someone as a way of sharing the faith with others, attached to a paper with the Cross in My Pocket poem by Verna Mae Thomas.
The Cross is a pocket reminder.

What an interesting person, to sense the enjoyment this young man gets from his hobby, is quite uplifting.
That cross you found is cool. In the military we would get those and hand them to family members, friends or keep them ourselves. We called them "Cross in your pocket". You carried it in your pocket or wallet.

Hey Nuggetnoggin. Great video today! I was amazed of the axehead you found. Looks to be quite old and I have a suggestion. You should attempt cleaning it up to the best of your abilities. Get a container and fill it with white vinegar. After wards completely submerge the axe head into the vinegar and let it sit there for about a week. Once that is done remove the axe and most of the rust should be gone. AVOID USING STEEL WOOL AND OTHER COURSE BRUSHES WHEN CLEANING THIS UNTIL YOU IDENTIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE AXE! A sponge should work to clean most of the rust off and once you know the manufacturer decide if you want to refurbish the axe or keep it as is. Happy hunting!

That aluminum cross is probably from the 70's-80's. Everyone had one. It's just a simple little cross that you carry in your pocket. The Ministry called it, 'Cross in my Pocket'.

The waterways in my areas (whether I'm in NW Tennessee or Southern Nevada) are far too murky or muddy to have any visibility I've 6 inches.
I love the lakes and rivers in Arkansas for their clear water over 1st one/rock beds.
