I love this game back when it first came out and I still love it to this day. Tom Hansen May be a dirk hero but this game is all kinds if awesome

Man, this game looks actually quite atmospheric and has some unique ideas. Never heard of it before.

I picked it up at pawn shop after hearing about it online and I fell in love it when I first got it and I do revisit it at least once a year or so.
we need more good bad games! the movies are good enough but this is too perfect!

I absolutely LOVED this game. It was a unique experience, Resident Evil vibe without the IPs overused storyline.
I was really surprised how nobody knew about the game when it came out and no ad campaign at all that I could see when it was released.

I just found this game for the PS2 in the back room of a comic store I work at. Ive never heard of it, but it looked creepy and different, so I bought it. Now I find that one of my favorite channels just so happens to have a game review of it. Thanks again for all this great content.

Oh man the Orca, I remember this it was good. Nice mix of a few horror games at the time and some new ideas. Looking forward to the second part ;] btw u may find your aim better on the PC version

XD! This is one of your best videos man! Keep it up! Pluse this game reminds me of the trailer for Harbinger Down. An Alien/Thing style movie that takes place on a ship. I dont remember the release date for it, but lets just say the monster in the film is made of 100% pratical effects! Should be good. :)

I can’t believe I never heard of this game when it came out, I would have loved it.
I played this game on the PS2, its a French production imitating the style of the Japanese Survival Horrors but with more third person shooting for Western gamers.
I remember this one I thought it was ok! if you're a survival horror addict like me then give it a shot! great review, makes me want to play it again!

As a side note, the PC version runs pretty well and has some decent controls. The ever changing perspective (the camera is constantly rocking) seems like it'd be impossible on a PS2 controller. It's hard to explain but it's a lot easier to adapt with a mouse.

I've played this one. It can get annoying, but there is at least a fair amount of challenge which keeps the game fun for me.
Humorous review. I remember playing this game back when it came out. Thought it sucked back then. I remember not liking the fact that I beat it in 5-6 hours.

I had this for PS2 several years ago and got stuck pretty early on. This last summer, I found it for X-Box ($3) and got stuck at the same part. I suck at this game.

This was such a fun game tbh.
I like how the blood splattered on the wall almost reads like "AW" in 2:30.
I remember seeing this game on some game's retailers shelves (and later on Steam), but wasn't interested on purchasing it, or even playing it. It's funny, Darkworks made Alone In The Dark 4, the one on the PS1 and Dreamcast, so they kinda knew how to make horror games (AITD 4 was scary until you get into the mansion, then the game becomes meh at best).
And speaking of horror games on icy places, I remember playing an extremely early PS2 game called Extermination that was basically a ripoff of The Thing fused with Resident Evil, instead of killing the monsters with fire, you kill them with ice (and lots of guns... but mainly ice), so they actively are looking for warm places. Kinda shitty, but certainly an interesting, obscure little gem. Definitely MUCH better than the actual Thing game, wich isn't saying much to begin with.
This was actually a pretty good game. I played it on PC, a long long time ago.

If you get a chance, there's game called Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason that has a similar theme. It got crap reviews, but I liked it. might be fun for you to check out.
This games looks like it has good atmosphere. I love slow paced adventure games like this. I would like to hear your opinion on Fear Effect 1&2, Dino Crisis 1&2 and Parasite Eve 1&2.
Norrin Radd Need to replay Fear effect. Dino Crisis 1-2 are awesome and 3 is a cool idea but has horrible camera. Parasite Eve 1-2 are 2 of my all time favorite games

Oh mean cliffhanger - but I really enjoyed this - one day I get a P2 or P3 and try playing those myself. (although I suck at it even worse - but practice makes perfect :D)

I had this game years ago but i got so frustrated not being able to figure anything out i got rid of it lol. i want to play it again though.

Love this game, played it la st week again (with some diggin to get it to run in full hd res). However the last boss is total bullshit due to controls, especially on hard difficulty. But in all the atmosphere and enemies do work imo
If you like Cold Fear you should check out the game Extermination.
I played this game when i was younger and i stoped at 1:45 because i get lost.

Personally if I want to try an older game I try to get it on PC. GOG is quite good about it.

Wow, it seams really entertaining, even though the controls aren't the best. Currently I'm playing Silent hill 4: The Room. Way better than I though.

Good video, although I prefer your movie stuff frankly, the "I did this, I did that, I'm so bad, I'm so good." kind of perspective isn't as interesting as just talking about a movie objectively. Still, a fun watch, looking forward to the next one.

I don't remember random pauses, maybe that was just on the PS2 version.
It was a glitch in the PS3 emulation. It worked fine on PS2. (or an original PS3 with the PS2 chips inside) At the time I only had an 80gig PS3, which had the emulation software rather than the chips.
This is a game they need to remake fuck all of these definitive editions.

Also, I started to watch this video with zero expectations (I didn't even know what 'Cold Fear' was about). But once you've mentioned 'The Thing' (and even 'Resident Evil' and 'Deep Rising'), I was instantly hooked. ;) I love those types of movies (or even games, even though I've never played one) that r in the same vein as 'Alien' and/or 'The Thing'.
Does Deep Fear have any relation to this game?
