I remember watching the theater edition back in the day, I got this uncut for a summer sale. Honestly, this director’s cut is BETTER then the original. There are two extra concepts that are added to the film. Compared to the theater. 1: The Game Developer and Loomis: Compared to the original, Loomis and Rex and Sarah are just thrown out as victims. 2: The witch, also gives Hutch and Abigail the idea of the *proper text* which means that the ghost of the blood countess is now a hunting ghost that cheats and uses deception. 3: The creators of the movie specifically stated that STAY ALIVE the game can be broke. (Considering it’s a beta test.) According to Hutch halfway mark (which is both in the original theater cut and uncut.) Zwink, Phin, October and Miller and Rex And Sarah where all killed or fucked with. (Miller, exploring the torture chamber and didn’t receive a QuickTime event like RE/Dead Space. Sara and Rex after they didn’t play for hours after they where tortured and drained of blood. October being cut open after not playing the game. Phin being ran over after pausing the game. ) Elizabeth is a cheating cunt Zwink however, was the only one who had survived because of the roses in the REAL life compared to the game. 4: Character Development: At least in this cut. Hutch, Phin, Zwink all have really GREAT fucking funny moments in the cut compared to the theater. Zwink especially, deserves a award for most fucking based for using a Konami Code to strip the zombies naked lol and breaking the game by using the key for the master bedroom and dropping his crowbar for Hutch. Disney ruined the film after cutting out so much from this one. They threatened them to remove scenes so, that’s why many of scenes didn’t receive the animation treatment THEY deserved. I wish for 2023 remaster of this film. Like dead space and RE4 remake lol. That’s just my wish.

PlayStation 2 did have online. Not that i knew anyone that actually used it.
