God, I saw some great shows at Moose's. This was my freshman year at UT and I was 300 yards to their front door. Music was so great in Knoxville in the 90s.

Thanks for your reply. I saw Superdrag in September of '98 at an uptown outdoor festival in Charlotte, and John's hair was short. They were winding up the Head Trip tour--I don't think any Dying Stars songs were written at that point. Sloan played with them for a few shows around that time. I don't recall Sam joining the band until late '99 or early 2000.
In the Valley of Dying Stars is one of the most underrated rock albums ever

Some of the nicest guys I've ever met. Also one of the best power pop bands ever. "Phaser" is a top five song for me still.

I cant' be sure. I wrote 1998 on the cover of the 8mm tape at some point.
