Congratulations Jodie and Erin. Evander is gorgeous and I love the name too. You probably don’t remember but I commented a few months ago about my coparenting situation. Our baby boy Elijah was born in October and we didn’t get our home birth either. I can’t believe how similar our birth stories are what with waters going first then quick labour and having to go to theatre for stitches! Both Elijah’s daddies were at the birth and spend time everyday with him. I can’t believe he’s already 3 months old. It only seems yesterday he was as tiny as Evander so make the most of all the gorgeous newborn cuddles xx
Hi Rebecca, thank you! And we do remember.. wow 3 months already! We love the name Elijah too, it was actually on our list of boy names for a long time. That is funny that our labours seem very similar - I hope yours was a positive experience in the end too. Maybe next time we’ll get to do a home birth! Sounds like your little family is doing really well ☺️😘
OMG can I just say... your little boy looks so much like the BOTH of you. Your careful choice of genetics, I feel, has been successful in this instance, for what you intended. Love to all 3 of you.
What a wonderful birth experience! I was lucky enough to find out about hypnobirthing for my pregnancies too. I completely agree that it's very, very helpful. And Jodi looks like she's been parenting all her life!
I am glad you had a good experience and a smooth induction. I was really nervous about having an induction since I had only hear bad stories, but mine was a really good experience. Ugh, I told the doctors clearly that I did not wanna see the placenta and as little blood as possible, haha good job looking at it. I hope your postpartum recovery is going smoothly, I know that can be rough. He is so cute! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks Rebecca. It’s nice to hear that somebody else had a good induction experience too, you really do hear a lot of negative stuff about being induced. Yeah the placenta bit was pretty gross haha! I’m recovering well thank you, pretty much all healed up now 😊 ...thanks for taking the time to watch the video - it was a bit of a long one! 😘
i just gotta say you both did absolutely amazing! Erin you were amazing just giving birth and taking it like a pro and Jodi right beside you coaching and just so supportive luv having been on this journey always so much luv respect and support ❤❤❤
Ladies I'm sorry I couldn't respond on your last vid. Now that l got that out of the way. Evader, you are a very handsome lad. And why not, just look at your parents😘. Erin, I'm glad that everything went smoothly. I know it wasn't where you wanted to give birth but things always seem to work them selves out for the better. And I'm so happy and honored to see this adorable family finally complete. Jodi, as I'm watching this vid, I can't help but to smile. I know that you will be the protector of your new family as I am with mine. May God bless your family. 🍻🍻🍻
Thank you Shannon. Yes these things have a way of working out for the best. We couldn’t be happier with how the hospital birth went. And now we have our boy! We love him so much! Jodi is already an amazing mum & I’m enjoying seeing her with him every day. It really warms my heart ❤️
So so proud of both of you wow you were in control the whole pregnancy.... Congratulations Evander is super precious an thank you for sharing hour beautiful birth story. Thank you! We can’t get enough of him 😍 ...yeah the midwives said they thought birthing that way was one of the best ways to do it. We couldn’t be happier with how it all went. Thanks again ❤️
Loved this! Was really interesting to hear all the details (even the gorey stuff!!) haha. It’s amazing that you didn’t even use gas and air, Erin! When I eventually have a baby one day I’d like to use some of the techniques you used. So happy for you all
Thanks Rachel ☺️ ...I highly recommend all the hypnobirthing stuff. When the time comes for you I’ll let you borrow my book if you want! Thank you, you’ll have to come meet him soon! ❤️

You’re so right Jenny, I can’t recommend hypnobirthing highly enough. She does doesn’t she? She’s a total natural ❤️
You could totally moonlight as a doula. You really made it sound bearable. He's a sweet little love!
