Most of the time I either leave it on 2x speed or I pause every day, no inbetween. You are not wrong or anything for leaving it like that, it does get dicey very fast but that's how players like us roll 😎

I play 2x early then try to remember to slow down later, the fact is my high score was terminated because I didn't take action in time and I had motorways to spare, it was pretty close to going infinite. The people who play normal speed tend to pause less, but running 2x and pausing is similar, once you're familiar with the game and don't miss new dest spawns.
One moment you're on two times, the next you're on pause sweating bullets because of that one spawn.

I do play at 2x speed as well, but I do pause all the time whenever new houses or markets appear. I use the spacebar to quickly pause and unpause the game which makes it quick and not intrustive to what your mouse is doing.
You can also use the 1, 2 and 3 keys in order to switch between paused, normal speed, and 2x speed in that order

I usually leave it on 2x and just do a quick pause if something spawns in an odd place. I love watching you do it without pausing though! Spikes that anxiety to fun levels! lol
At last, a UA-camr gets the kind of start I get :) Actually it's amazing how much is possible to fix with the right upgrades.

I run the game at 2x speed as soon as I can, but pause it whenever I need to do some road management.
I've always played like this and I even got a highscore of over 6K on Los Angeles the other day.

These are so satisfying to watch
On my first Zürich match, I desperately needed motorways, but the game just gave me tunnels and bridges. I started to believe that there were none on the Zürich map.
Every time the game spawns a mall and auto-connects it to my main drag... RUDE!
Use 1 roads on sides of long high ways. Then you can control the spawning. It does take some roads but malls need a 2×6 place to spawn. So it shouldn't be that bad

If lonely shops could sometimes spawn with 2 entrances in random place it could add more choices.

I like that you play on 2x speed :D Yes, your score might be worse that way, but i find it more entertaining that way because it's more fast paced and a little chaotic haha i like that :)

All of the spawns were AWFUL, the double structure on the left side absolutely blindsided me, that was probably the finishing blow to be honest. AND NO HOUSES SPAWNED, LIKE BRO PLS
At the end the house that u connected via tunnel just send cars on the other end of the map instead of the closest one.. rip
Tragedy. The saddest part of the game is when you do this unknowingly 😭

though id suggest placing roundabouts asap for crossroads or avoiding them, cause they slow down efficiency a lot
