By the end, both sides were so impressed by what the other side had done, that us in animation were now calling it a "game" and the interactive people were calling it a "cartoon".

I remember really enjoying playing through this when it premiered. I’m sorry that business decisions are so callous that they’re willing to discard a year’s worth of people’s hard work. Thank you for preserving it. Despite being motion-tweened rather than traditionally animated, it really evokes the movement and timing of Tex Avery. Tremendously funny, and gorgeous-looking. Everyone who worked on it should be proud. And the people who don’t know how to profit off these things should feel crazy.
@ Motion tweeting is not traditional. Traditional animation refers to the process of drawing every frame by hand. Including the inbetweens. Motion tweening involves attaching drawings to a rig and then allowing the computer to fill in the frames between each key. They are two different methods for creating 2D animation. Both have been done domestically and via outsourcing.

And I was complimenting the work. Hand drawn stuff isn’t universally outsourced. And plenty of motion tweeted cartoons are produced in overseas studios.

I think this is the first modern cartoon I’ve seen that ACTUALLY feels like something from an old Looney Tunes short. Most modern adaptations like the new Animaniacs and the netflix Tom and Jerry feel like they’ve lost a lot of their soul, but this one’s got it and then some!
I was really excited for this to release a few years ago, I loved it. Why Netflix thought removing this was a good idea is anyone's guess. Thanks for uploading this!
I could tell just from watching the first few minutes that Netflix execs got the idea for this just from playing Henry Stikmin. One of the first fails here is even copied exactly from a fail from the very first decision in Henry Stikmin.
I'm pretty sure Rowdy is in hell during this whole thing. One of the game overs has satan using his 9 lives a billiard balls, he's constantly barred from heaven, and even when he steals the painting he winds up dying anyway. It's all just one long torment.
Bless you for doing this. I LOVED this show, and I even played it with friends and family. Netflix axing it was a true tragedy, and you and the team absolutely NAILED the feeling of classic Tex Avery. Loved all the shoutout and references. Wish Netflix spent more time advertising it so people would let it know it existed. Maybe someday it can get a BluRay set so people can enjoy it in its original form. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you for saving it. You did a great thing by doing so.

I’m in love with the Tex Avery references to his shorts and the amount of detail that goes into the cartoon itself! The people who worked on this needs to be applauded and appreciated a lot more. I unfortunately missed out on this fantastic interactive special because I wasn’t going to pay for a Netflix subscription, but godamn it, did I completely missed out on this project, I loved classic cartoons like Mickey Mouse, Tom & Jerry, and Tex Avery, and I absolutely love this which paid tribute to classic cartoons, this is something I was looking for in a very long time.
No joke, I tried to play this, but dint like re-doing parts of the tree over and over - so this is a much better viewing experience! Hope they do more animations like this!

Indie animation online, crowdfunded, and things like Glitch Productions, giving platform to scores of creators out in the field working passionately on gorgeous projects. Animation belongs to the people now, and I'm so excited to see what comes out next - hopefully sooner or later the market reflects that desire - I know there are many negative takes to me had - I'll take what I can get

MAN, I remember being really excited about this, I really like classic cartoons and their way of structure, and many cartoons that try to copy the style fail, You were the only ones who really managed to create an authentic experience, your work was incredible and it's a shame it wasn't appreciated as it should have been, I just want to say that your Cartoon was and is a great inspiration to me, and that Netflix is disrespecting the entire industry, I hope to see more of the characters in the future.

I loved playing this back when it first released! It shows that so many people put so much time, work and effort into this production. There’s always been a place in my heart for MGM and other related cartoons growing up, and its nice to know that creators are still being influenced to make things just as great now. Although it’s been removed, I’m glad you still had an opportunity to show something as an homage that everyone can enjoy. Congrats to everyone involved, may you all have many more future successes!
I played this the day it released and not since then. Only got one painting on my second run while the others often had me failing on the very last trap. Thank you for preserving this. Watching these scenes honestly made me want to play this again which I should have before it was removed. Getting one question wrong out of three which results in failure regardless kinda annoyed me after awhile, lol.
Being a huge fan of the Looney Tune era I thoroughly enjoyed this interactive experience, of course along with the animation, story-telling and score. Out of all the interactive experiences on Netflix this was the best one, boss baby was fun too but this was better. Might be worth reaching out to Olan Rogers (Final Space) on a future project because you've both been burnt by studios, and he's an awesome dude. Regardless thanks for this and I look forward to the future.
It sucks that Netflix got rid of this. I remember playing this and thinking this was the best looking modern retro cartoon I'd seen. I was hoping for an actual series.
If only UA-cam had annotations again so we can experience this with the interactivity as God intended. This is still a great short no matter how you watch it, but a part of its' magic is gone without any way to choose what goes on in the short
So how come my UA-cam has an on and off switch for "annotations" in the settings then? And how is this a "great short" when it's an hour and a half long? And once again, why the hell am I not able to actually play this (for lack of a better word) in the way it was intended? I still miss the utterly ingenious climactic interactive episode of "Next Time On Lonny" which was posted legitimately to YT twice and then taken down twice and now the series is back up and little chunks of the interactive episode are available but mean nothing in their hobbled form. This is all fucking *brutal!*
@KenLieck 1. You have a plugin that restores annotations from before UA-cam got rid of them 2. When taking all the possible scenarios into consideration, the cartoon would be the length of shorts when played like the game 3. Sadly, Netflix took it down along with most other interactive shows barring a few popular ones like Bandersnatch
that was amazing! the whole team absolutely nailed the tex avery style! i did have one question, were specific elements also inspired by ren & stimpy? the laughing expression rowdy does when he comes out of the bank with money seriously reminded me of ren and i love it lol
This is really nice that you reuploaded this, maybe to replicate the interactive elements, why not buy the rights and release this on Pc, consoles, and Blu Ray and Dvd.
Honestly regardless if this cartoon was good or bad in the first place it’s so empowering that even though Netflix it’s getting rid of this show like many streaming services are you actually uploaded everything (besides the interactive elements which is unfortunate) If Netflix is gonna try to erase this cartoon it doesn’t belong to them it belongs to you and the rest of the talent who worked on it

Out of all the interactive experiences on Netflix this was the best one, boss baby was fun too but this was better. Might be worth reaching out to Olan Rogers (Final Space) on a future project because you've both been burnt by studios, and he's an awesome dude. Regardless thanks for this and I look forward to the future.

If only UA-cam had annotations again so we can experience this with the interactivity as God intended. This is still a great short no matter how you watch it, but a part of its' magic is gone without any way to choose what goes on in the short
So how come my UA-cam has an on and off switch for "annotations" in the settings then? And how is this a "great short" when it's an hour and a half long? And once again, why the hell am I not able to actually play this (for lack of a better word) in the way it was intended? I still miss the utterly ingenious climactic interactive episode of "Next Time On Lonny" which was posted legitimately to YT twice and then taken down twice and now the series is back up and little chunks of the interactive episode are available but mean nothing in their hobbled form. This is all fucking *brutal!*

1. You have a plugin that restores annotations from before UA-cam got rid of them
2. When taking all the possible scenarios into consideration, the cartoon would be the length of shorts when played like the game
3. Sadly, Netflix took it down along with most other interactive shows barring a few popular ones like Bandersnatch

i did have one question, were specific elements also inspired by ren & stimpy? the laughing expression rowdy does when he comes out of the bank with money seriously reminded me of ren and i love it lol

This is really nice that you reuploaded this, maybe to replicate the interactive elements, why not buy the rights and release this on Pc, consoles, and Blu Ray and Dvd.

Honestly regardless if this cartoon was good or bad in the first place it’s so empowering that even though Netflix it’s getting rid of this show like many streaming services are you actually uploaded everything (besides the interactive elements which is unfortunate)
If Netflix is gonna try to erase this cartoon it doesn’t belong to them it belongs to you and the rest of the talent who worked on it

This should become a separate interactive game on itself!!! Its so darned great and wacky to be removed from Netflix...good job!!!
