The kid isn't Rod's or Allison's. She won't be raised by the Carsons. Jill's lies will come out and the Carsons will have to give Kellie up. Jill is a horrible person.
Kudos to Betty for being HONEST, about confessing her inability to love Kelly. While I was appalled that she is that immature, that vapid, and clearly selfish and self-centered, I appreciate her honesty. She is OWNING these character flaws of hers. *That* is a rarity. It's also a big step toward Betty becoming more emotionally mature. She knows she's not there yet. She knows she's not equipped to be fair toward Allison's child. So yes, kudos to her, for owning up to this truth. What often happens in this kind of situation, is that the potential step-mom or step-dad, claims they can fulfill that role and treat the child as if they were their own. Others claim they can do it, because they don't want to lose the relationship with their beloved, so they ignore their conflicting feelings about it. Others claim they can do it, out of their own self-ignorance, believing they can "make themselves" love the kid. The results are usually disastrous, particularly to the child, who is most often, scapegoated. Also, the biological parent may join in the scapegoating, if they value the marital relationship, more than they value their child. I'm in my mid-60's, and I've seen this happen, many times. I also know about the "flip side" - that there are also stellar stepmoms and stepdads, who enrich that child's life greatly. But when your beloved is honest and lets you know at the onset that they don't feel equipped to be a good stepmom/stepdad, LISTEN, then LEAVE. There's no point in shaming your beloved that they're not up to the task - be grateful they were honest about their shortcomings, end it, and go on, hopefully to find someone who is far more mature. Maya Angelou has a quote which applies here (plus it applies to many other relationship situations): "When someone shows you who they truly are, believe them the first time".
+Andie Rathbone Or written off, ASAP. This guy is above annoying, and so is his pathetic excuse of a nose job. (sorry, I just had to make a shallow comment!)
As soon as Betty told Ron she would bath, feed, and clothe his baby, but couldn't love her, I would have dropped that devil right there, and left her alone. Ron would have been better hiring a robot, offering those services. A baby can sure enough feel love from those caring for them. She don't need a cold fish caring for her, feeling no love, to wind up a confused adult, who don't know how to give or receive love, being just like Betty. Who cannot love an innocent baby, who has caused you no harm, and didn't ask to be here, it's not the baby's fault. With what she said I would feel she would secretly do harm to the baby. It's hard to see how a seemingly classy woman like Betty could have such a cold heart, except she's self centered.✌
That real mother is pawning her child off on the Carsons. Jill is dumping her baby. Betty isn't in the real equasion! This child belongs to Jill and Joe Rossi.
That is the coldest most selfish thing Betty can say about an infant! How does she know how her emotional feelings will develop if she's housing, bathing, feeding etc the child? She has a destructive self-sabotaging streak...the result of LOW SELF ESTEEM.
I don't think she is heartless. Have you watched this from the start? Rodney treated her terribly. his car accident caused her to lose the baby. he her dropped her for Allison. Leslie tried to buy her off. Then she finally thinks she found love with Steven and he went wacko on her. I think Rod is the cad---always was. I think she should have stayed with Steven. he learned his lesson
Ooh Betty may become a Hannah Cord, bringing up Kelly and not loving her! History repeats itself
Interesting.
Betty telling Rod she could never love Kelly, that should tell Rod to run.
Betty run!
RUN QUICKLY.
The kid isn't Rod's or Allison's. She won't be raised by the Carsons. Jill's lies will come out and the Carsons will have to give Kellie up. Jill is a horrible person.
@@suki44883 The worst
Well, at least she was being honest. Rod should appreciate that.

Kelly is better off with people who will love her so Rod can't ask Betty to bring her up when she doesn't love her.
Norm's driving a new car!
I think this is storyline is really out there
Joe Rosi just needs to be arrested
+Andie Rathbone Or written off, ASAP. This guy is above annoying, and so is his pathetic excuse of a nose job. (sorry, I just had to make a shallow comment!)
Thats the way he's suppose to be portrayed, the script writers must be doing their job.
The sooner the better. Bring back LEE LOL
*Rossi*

She's just being honest. It's best to do now than to wait until they are married. Oh and by the way...this isn't Rod and Allison's baby.
@@suki44883 That's right!
It’s hard to imagine that someone can’t love a child, especially for a loving caring stepmother.
I like her honesty, that the way she’s feel right now. But I would bet after taking care of the baby, she would fall in love with her.
Another thug named Jo!
Give Norman a clue!
Stupidity, and selfishness run amok. Hopefully these characters are not the norm, but the poor exception to humanity
betty is heartless!!!!
+Diana Castillo She is and so were the casting directors for giving us Jill and Joe.
So true!!..;)
I cannot bear Betty for another moment. She is an utterly selfish and mercenary girl.
And the best part is-she gets even worse!

Betty's intuition are always right.
The young rude rebels of 1968 are not fun to watch. Was this an attempt to attract younger viewers?
Absolutely. And to indoctrinate them into the boomer stereotype - selfish and entitled . Obviously not all.
It starts to get boring. Joe, Lee & now Joey
Rita is so immature
