I think I remember you mentioning in a live stream (we watched a few during the start of COVID) or maybe another video of yours that Jocelyn lived there for a while before you were married? It’s a great city, we’d love to move to that area!
Great city! We normally stay near Broughton St so we can keep the car parked & walk all over town. So many wonderful small businesses there! My wife loves Capital Bee Company when we go!
I passed through Savannah Georgia in June. Its welcome center was amazing. I wish I took the time to visit it's places. I hope one day I can come back there and that exploring. ❤
Hi I'm actually planning a trip there and unsure if to get Airbnb or hotel. May I ask, did you like it better than a hotel? And would you give the info for which one you stayed at , if you enjoyed and would recommend it? Thanks !
I went on a bike tour of the city and it was amazing! You actually captured our tour guide in the video, he was wonderful. One of my all time favorite trips!
This is a great video. My wife and I spent 4 days in Savannah a few weeks ago. Beautiful city and so much to do. We were not really fans of Tybee Island. However, parking prices did go up to $7. We do want to go back to finish what we missed on River St. Another place to stay is the Westin across the river. The ferry ride is free and it only takes 10ish minutes to cross.
@Critical.Thinker It was, for the most part, an incredible and charmingly chaotic time. Lived behind Parker's Market on Drayton, in a carriage house up the street by Pinkie's for a while. Thunderbolt. Southside. Pooler. Pt. Wentworth. Wilmington Island. Had a great time. Met so many characters. A fabulously misspent youth. 10/10.
If you don't want to break the bank by staying in the H D, there are many good hotels in the midtown area. Yes, you have to drive in, but it isn't that bad and worth the savings. After all, you mainly sleep and shower in your room, so why spend H D prices. There are many good restaurants there too. Some hotels have a shuttle to the historic district. There are many good restaurants in the downtown area that aren't pricey. I feel the many newer upscale places have kind of ruined the Savannah feel. Vinnie Van Go Go's in City Market has a great menu and their pizza by the slice is a meal. Plus it's a great building. Olympia Greek on River Street is yummy, so is Boar's Head and Spanky's. Mrs. Wilkes still has good food, it's just a shame her prices have skyrocketed. The Pirates House has similar food at better prices. Just a few suggestions.
Just got back from Savannah: tybee island is now 4 bucks a hour. Lol. But i like paying once for all day parking and then forgetting about it. Un like Savannah were you must pay in every spot. But its only a dollar a hour. So cheap
Im here now after 12hr drive from NY. Staying @ the Econolodge across the street from Waffle house and Vapor smoke shop which has no THC, only Cbd and Delta bullshit. Beautiful city, I love it here. I would retire out here, right on Abercorn
@@Eachitndie lol Yea I had fun in G.A. great weather, I fell in love w/ the trees & ponds, decent ppl, good food.. went to the buffet & a steakhouse, cant wait to go back.. I'm gonna try to time it so when its cold here in NYC, I can go to G.A. & warm up!

Thanks for sharing! Seems to have a lot in common with New Orleans.
also remember that Savannah doesn't stop at the edge of the historic district. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the southside of town as well
Good restaurants too!
I was out here for a day when I was at FLETC. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the late night vibez
I highly recommend the River Street Inn!
We hear that!
Just came back from Savannah ga renting a air bnb on front st by dominos pizza it was nice and the Savannah rice became a favorite to me

Same vibes for sure!
Both Mobile and Fairhope Alabama are also very similar
Beautiful
Amazing❤
We enjoy the President’s Quarters B&B. Thanks for sharing
Great video! Do you think a car is necessary?
If you want to go to the beach, yes. If you only want to stay in the historic old part of Savannah, no you can Uber/walk around pretty easily

A are what in age Savannah
To His old self
Parking $4 per. hr. + 50€for your convenience fee
Tourist trap, hot a/f, bugs, over crowded ,parking is a nightmare
Plenty of parking in the historic district, if you don’t mind feeding the meters, which is also more reasonable than NYC.
