Probably a bit of both. The figurines are real but the facial expressions etc are animated, also I don't think tracer have joints, reaper might have a few.
I only get sprays and player icons 90 percent of the time. The others are just skins, victory poses, voice lines and the odd currency. On extremely rare occasions I get a highlight intro
