The fact that you did your best to replicate the animatic arrows and animations is praiseworthy in and of itself. This is truly the closest portrayal of those scenes in game and i'm all for it.
Wouldn't say it's necessary but it does make it better. Especially for dialogue scenes and just to appreciate the work done to recreate so much detail.
7:04 the hanzo's struggling with the bow like he was going to die is well made because with a real arrow in place to shoot is really really hard and heavy to keep that much time on

"Dragons" has always been my favorite animation for Overwatch. It shows such a deep origin story for Hanzo and Genji and it's filled with so much emotion. Despite Hanzo trying to kill his own brother, he loved him and honored him on the day he made an attempt on his life every year. He lived his life with regret, mourning Genji's loss and while he's talking to this "assassin", you can hear the hurt and anger in his voice when he feels that his brother's honor is being disrespected. Saying things like "you are not worthy to say his name". And his reaction to seeing that the "assassin" was his little brother all along and that he survived the attack, he's in disbelief and is unsure of how to feel about it. It's never portrayed that he's happy to see his brother is alive and never does anything to show he was happy that his brother survived. He's in shock at what Genji was turned into. When Genji says that he had forgiven Hanzo for what had happened and that he needed to forgive himself, Hanzo "lashes out" in a way, still having that mindset about Genji that he had when he attacked him in the past. When Genji says that he has hope that there's still good in Hanzo, we see some sort of peace in him. Like he's come to terms with what happened and what was revealed to him. He returns to his shrine with peace of mind and I'm sure some joy knowing that his brother isn't dead and there's still a chance for them to change for the better On an unrelated note, this in-game recreation was really good!
