Mike donehey is one of the most amazing Christian I've ever seen, mike donehey and tenth avenue north including Jeremy camp and big daddy weave changed my life and forever I will be with god in heaven
Praying out loud made such a difference in my life. It does indeed force you to recognize your own surroundings, what you're saying, and your faith. I felt a noticeable change when I called God's name OUT LOUD in prayer. He heard me.
Amen! In college, my roommate would pull up a chair next to her while she had her morning devotions... I finally asked her what she was doing with the empty chair? She said that is where she invites Jesus to sit. Nothing is more transforming than inviting Jesus's presence into your daily walk! Lift Jesus Higher and higher still!

It's like talking to your best friend, out loud. It really feels like He's listening. I honestly enjoy it more than talking to really any of my friends because it's SO HARD to be truly open and honest with really anyone.
I could listen to Mike all day.
It`s true. I think I don`t have time most of the time, to stop everything and pray. Sometimes it`s really hard!!!!!! I understand. Now, I want that intemacy that you can`t have with any man or woman. Only God can show you things that nobody seen before, he`ll let you soak up his presence, nobody else can do that, or will.

Beautiful message, prayer is our communication with God and without a strong prayer -life we really cant be the awsome Christains we would like to be. I think we all need to get to the point of being willing to leave everything behind just to pray to God.

This really touch me in a big way. I've been struggling some time with my prayer life which is pretty non existent. I know that I pray every Sunday at church but I just don't when I'm home. I long for it and this really led me to challenge my faith because I think I feel like that God doesn't hear me when I pray and my faith is so weak I want to feel this amazing close relationship with God and I think that prayer is where I need to be bold and have faith in my life. Those kind of videos seem worthless for a lot of people, but for me it reminds me in a quick way things I often forget. And it's not easy to share your thoughts and your personal experience but we need to share it. It helps us to understand, to love and to embrace the fact that God is alive.

God works in wonderous ways. I just started a biblestudy on prayer by ann spangler. How we need to boldly with faith and humility pray. How all my 20 yrs of life I have doing it cause its the thing to do as a christian . But its so very much more. Have faith that if you ask someyhing of God like peace about a certain area.that when you are done with your prayer it will be there. Cause God promised a peace that passes all understanding. I'll be quite honest, often I find myself living out the lyrics "Look at all the pretty things that steal my heart away. I can feel I'm fading" when I analyze why I don't take more time out of my day to spend with God. This world is so deceivingly attractive, and our humanness is almost like a curse, because it's hard to pull away sometimes.
Anyone else feel like that?

I woke up at almost 3am and realized how little I do pray and remembered this video so I watched it. Mike is right we all need to learn to love to pray (I almost put live to pray there cause I am on my iPod but that might not be a bad way of putting it either) I need to favorite this video and watch it every night to remind me how important praying is!

i pray out loud when i'm by myself. i talk to Him like i would to any of my friends. i tell him my frustrations with people or funny stories just anything and everything. i find myself asking for less when i just talk to Him about my day.
Just wanted to say...that I look forward to this every week. Gives me something to meditate upon and practice during the week. :)

Sometimes I get so angry at people over the littlest things. But watching these videos I feel it almost.... Change my heart in a way just hearing the scripture from someone else's mouth or hearing you preach. it just puts things into prospective. Shows me more what to hold onto. Thank you

In the book, 'Ignatian spiritual workout', the author symbolizes prayer as a coffee date with Christ/God. It is like meeting at a Cafe and talking over a cup of cafe or what ever drink you are hankering at the time. Most of my prayers is in this manner. Prayer is not a one-sided conversation. God always responds it just takes a bit more belief to listen. God bless everyone and thank you Mike for this.

yup...prayed out loud yesterday and it made me realized how small i was and i realized that God was there...my sunday school leader challenged us to go on a date with God and tell him things that we needed to tell him and and that was weird but good im glad that i did :)

Mike, keep it up, stay humble, keep Loving God and people. God bless and protect you and your family. Check out the notes on "What You Want" the Wally's show version. I only was able to listen to the music not watch videos and Wow, all look way different then they sound. If you didn't know what God wants from us it would be so easy to fall into being idolized. You caught my attention with your music and lyrics, but you start alot of shows prefacing what God's message is through you, his son. God has gifted you; thank you for not letting it go to your head.

thank you for making these videos Mike. it's been so hard for me to pray lately. I need to learn to pray just to pray. I've been losing my faith little by little and I have to learn how to stay close to Jesus when times get hard, and not move away because I think he's abandoned me. thank you so much for these journals, they really help me. :)

The best one you have made. I just started watching these Mike, and I've got to say that it is very encouraging. I'm in the UA-cam culture and enjoying watching these a lot! If I could get a request for some meditations from you, it would be a request to get some insight on the political issues. It all seems a bit scary right now...
