This song is a blessing to me. I can`t stop listening to it. All who have listened to this song may God grant them grace to continue to worship and trust in Him.
I love the allusion/similarity to Pilgrim’s Progress when Christian loses the heavy burden off his back at the cross. In that story there is an automatic removal of the burden when he comes to Christ, but there is also an ongoing surrender of our sin/guilt/shame/things of this world with an intentional choice as in this video.
I know I thought of The Pilgrims Progress when I saw it too! Neat!

I Love This! It make me think of a scripture Hebrews 12:1 says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” God really does not want us to be bogged down with the cares of this world.

There’s a point where you have to break. You either stand righteous or fall as a sinner. We all are broken and heavy burdened. We fall down but Yeshua put his hand on us gives us strength, grace, mercy and his Holy Spirt. All we have do do is lay down our sin before him repent and turn away from sin.
This song hit me hard the depiction of the man carrying his burdens trying to make it through life was me. I thought I could carry the burdens all it did was give me a heart of stone. It wasn’t till the moment I had almost nothing to live for Jesus showed up and gave me a path to walk on. He touched me with his mercy and the fire of the Holy Spirt. At the moment I knew he loved me and he wanted to give me another chance.
I went from death into life put down all my addictions, anger, lust, pride, pain and pornography. And picked up my Bible prayed and fasted and learned to rely upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Not money, drugs or alcohol those things just bring you farther from the father! I’m just upset it took 32 years to realize what a real father Jesus Christ is like and how I need to imitate him in every aspect in my life. When you look at me you see Jesus, that’s how I need to live!
_YESHUA, YOU have given me every reason to have hope. Even when my circumstances seem hopeless. Even when my feelings don’t fall in line. Please grant me a deeper understanding of the eternal hope I have through Jesus Christ, and of the hope of YOUR calling here on earth. Its in my Savior’s name that I pray. Amen._

"Who is this God who dares to call my name?" It's unfortunate this particular stanza is the first line heard in an otherwise beautiful song as if we who are made of clay are something to be feared. He cares to call our names out of love, brother. He cared more than enough to send His Son to die for us. And we will finally see evidence of that caring, bountiful love when Christ comes back in a cloud of Glory.

I love the scripture reference of Romans 2:4. We hear about God’s great love for us so often which is good thing to hear about often. But there is something about being reminded about His kindness or even made aware of it for the first time that really touched my heart. It is an example of how He shows His great love for us and in a tender way. I/we don’t deserve God’s kindness and yet He is kind to us. I just love the truth of that. Thank you Mike for pointing that out.
