I do unfortunately believe that AI will replace things like product photography/advertising because it costs less. No models, travel, makeup artists, photographer, even the product can be replicated. Between stock photos and social media there will always be data. I do agree that documentary and event photography is safe. Hopefully artistic photography will survive similar to how photography did not replace painting. AI imagery is another form of creativity. That depends fully on the honesty of the person who created it.
Christ, where to start??! I'm actually a data scientist and amateur photographer... AI is disrupting a lot of things these days and we desperately do need regulation. It's not only on images, but text and general knowledge as well. It is a problem of "where do they get the data to train the models?" Basically all the money is directed to whoever created the models, but no money is channeled into the creators (or data compilers). Basically, someone can get your stock photos, use them ONCE to train the AI models, and the profit every time the model is used. In essence, the value chain is broken, because every time the model is used, the data owners should also get a piece... imagine how difficult would that be!
AI is definitely going to be a solid tool when used to enhance the creative process but like you said there is something about the human touch and connection that can't be taken or replaced by a computer because computers still need humans to function 🤷🏾♂
Lauren is great! Perfect complement to Lizzie. Would love more Lauren and Lizzie videos! I played with AI a lot for a few weeks. Really interesting what it can create but it's definitely just copying something else. I feel like we kind of give it sight if that makes any sense.
A lot of photography will be replaced. If you're doing something very specific, not. But soon something specific will also be possible doing without models for example. But I've made a lot of fashion imagery and it's clear that we will not use models anymore. At least not in 80% of what's needed.
I could see it being useful for dangerous or unreachable locations (Antarctica for example), If you want to do a shoot half way across the world without means to get there I could see it being quite useful.
I'm of the opinion that A.I. replacing our jobs, while not insignificant is the least of the problems A.I. can cause for living, breathing, human beings. The idealist among us like to think about only the best and most positive uses and outcomes of this emerging A.I. technology. But use of A.I. will quickly spin out of control and produce significant undesirable social side-effects unless there are some legal guardrails put in place by our regulators. It's nice, for example, to believe family photos might still be needed. But what happens when people challenge the validity, the reality, the truth of family photos because they could just as easily have been generated by A.I.? Or when A.I. generated images are believed to depict truth, over the denials of the people who are the subject of those images? Fake photos are not new...tabloids have published fake photos in the past. What is new, is that it is increasingly difficult to tell the difference as A.I. generated photos become more advanced. Plus A.I. is also skilled at publishing photo and related information to influence the public in ways that make it difficult for it's victims to refute, destroying lives and livelihoods in the aftermath. A family's life can be destroyed in just a few minutes. That's just one aspect of the possible range of dangerous impacts A.I. can have on our society. There are more that we are already seeing, more that we can imagine, and even more that we can't even imagine!
But then I can see the think pieces being made about people essentially making fake memories. Sure it's more environmentally friendly to make an AI create a photo of you on a vacation somewhere and say you're well traveled, but that would be a lie. But this is just one of a couple problems that could arise from this ethically that we have to consider.
So do you recommended AI do everything and we can just sit in our house and not travel anywhere? When people like you stop being silly and stop playing the moral high ground! Give it a break.
What's your opinion?
I made a video talking about AI taking our jobs & just started uploading some shorts on this also
Lauren said it. There is value in human contact.
80% of every field will be affected by AI, including photography.

You both play so well off each other! That was quite enjoyable to watch. 🎉
Yes photography isn't going away, but most professional photography is.
Very cool conversation
Interesting conversation. Best line ... 'I use to lie about that in bars.'

Photographers don't make much money. So why would anyone even AI want to replace photographers?
😊
AI can be more environmentally friendly. No transportation costs

Portrait photographers are f’d
You should get some Ai to help you with your horrible sounding audio
Lol
Lauren is not real
TWINS FIRST BORN ON RIGHT SIDE OF SCREEN.
