His career has gone uphill since he got that Sofa.
in sofa we trust
No shit! The sofa is key to great success!
That floored me 🤣
I’ll be honest, been following Super for a while and have seen references to the sofa and at this point I have no idea what’s going on

This video had almost everything, 9.5/10
Go get that coveted P6 next race, Steve🙂
Don't forget about meeting Berry R
Ol barry r always there for the fast drivers.
But there were 'official lap number' that don't make any sense, and alternative, real lap number. I appreciated the adaption of turn numbers in real life.
P6 basically is P1 😂
I've got my Super gt bingo card filled out. He also had "this is where my race unravels"
I love that the fact it’s IRL doesn’t change his style of in-game voiceover as well. It’s basically just like watching GT7.
GT7 with really good graphics
and dmg physics
Was going to say the same and it works so well with racing videos in general
These new Forza graphics are crazy!
A bit pale and they overdone the shaking, but the ramming persists at last.
yea the trees, rocks and clouds look amazing.
What? Doesn't it say "Project CARS" just before the comments?
They finally got the sound right.
The lobbies are still wild tho
Gordie gonna have a career turning youtubers into racers. 😂
That's gonna be how he markets hit real business or trading young drivers, there is alot of dad out there willing to pay shit tons of money to get there kid a good coach who actually gets them more pace not just a dude that looks the part
@@peachulemon hit. or trading. is alot. there.
Were you drunk while typing this?
@@oConshien lmao I did post a simple statement that didn't need complex analysis. I was and still am drunk as fuck. Not sure what his excuse is. 😂😂😂😂

Thanks Radical for letting Steve drive and for all of us to live vicariously thru him.

Such an inspiration to see where you’re heading Steve. Just proves that hard work pays well done matey well bloody done

That head on collision looks like something out a movie
I wish the camera hadn't cut out, it would have been mad to see in this video. There were bits flying everywhere 👀
@@Super_GT facecam wouldve been nice aswel :) anydirection
@@Super_GT You're on point about "slow motion" too, it's so unreal feeling at that moment when you know that something is moving fast but those couple last seconds are like slow motion and u can't do anything to change next thing happening, u tried everything to move out of way but it's like car does not take your commands anymore and just stays on set line. Oh yes crashed 2 times in my life 😂 Happy to see that you're fine! Thank you for showing us mistakes on path of learning.
@@Super_GT the slow motion sensation is because your body dumps huge amounts of adrenaline into your bloodstream in an instant. It speeds up your brain's processing power, so for a moment the world seems to slow down, but it's actually your brain going faster to give you a better chance of reacting to whatever has just happened. Glad you're okay, can't wait for the next race :)
Scary moment at the end there. Unfortunate moment, not sure what that guy ahead of you was doing. But most importantly you're all good
He's just not a very good driver. I give that about 80% the guy in front's fault and 20% Steve's fault for trying to power through it instead of backing off.
@@hornetguy9063 Steve lost some traction at the back end while taking the inside line, counter steered but then nailed 100% throttle. Not sure that is 80:20 ...
@@hornetguy9063 Dude, making a mistake doesn't mean ur a bad driver, thats racing ur bound to make mistakes and crash, unfortunate but u move on, especially when it's ur first time racing in cars like that.
@@nyc863 yeah absolutely. I’d put it down to experience in the car though. In a kart with less power like Steve is used to he’d be fine, but in a radical which is a light car with decent power he’s just looped it. Just unfortunate he got cleaned up. 95% of the time an mistake like that would just be a spin and he would have finished in 12th or so, just happened this time he got cleaned up
@@hornetguy9063 more 65% guy in fronts fault and 35% his fault I would say
Steve at 13:55 : It quite fun watching everyone crash.

This is what the internet is for.. to share these moments most of us will never experience through his eyes. Barry R would be proud
Can't believe Gordie cheated on me.
Shame it didn't all go to plan man, but you can see the pace is there. Can't wait to see what's next for you!
U cute bro
ayo
Any idea what the exhaust issue was? Sounded like it either got squished or had something loose inside it limiting how much exhausting it was doing! Great effort, sorry it didn't go as planned
It was unfortunate about the technical issues in quali and the first race, but that's what made it even more satisfying to see when you immediately started gaining positions as soon as you finally had the power.
In here before steve sends himself to the depths of shadow realm
Every video I've watched from you, it's always been enjoyable listening to your commentary along with your entertaining racing. But seeing you do it for real? Surreal. I'm happy for you Steve. Incredible stuff. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Wow Steve you really had the pace in that last race!!! it's a shame how it ended but you're fine and that's the important thing here.
Can't get enough of these style vids bud. Hope you're not too sore after that one!!!
Hey SuperGT, just wanted to echo the comments of everyone else. It's clear how much potential you had and all your reactions to an underperforming car were so relatable. Considering how frustrated you must've been, you handled it professionally. It was just those two lapses of concentration that let those other cars back through. You pulled the most stunning overtake and displayed incredible car control for a 'rookie' when you executed 19:47, but then instead of remembering how bitter some people are about being overtaken in such a manner, you only looked ahead. It's hard to keep composure in that rush of adrenaline to remember to cover the inside for precautionary measures.
Then, to make matters worse, after being re-passed questionably, your frustration blinded you from covering the inside 'again!' That driver would've never caught you otherwise, given how insecure they were through the main 'skill gap' corner on the following laps, and the only reason you found yourself behind him was because of that lapse of concentration. Only those lessons can be learned on the track IRL, right?. Gaming, you may have been privy to it, but the real adrenaline of IRL blinds you and that must be the toughest thing for a rookie to combat.
Loved the two videos and watching you take on the full experience, highs and lows.
I love to see you progress through in diffrent racing series and car over the years!
I'm prayin to see you in the Pack at nürburgring 24 h someday
edit: holy shat!
I was impressed. His IRL driving style is fearless. Car control is top notch. Well done. Great video
Cheers Steve, I'm glad your safe as well as the other driver. Thank you for all the content over the years and so happy to see how far you've come
I love the way you manage to bring us along with you in all your videos, but especially the real life ones! Cheers!
Thanks for the vid Steve! I really hope to see more racing from you in the Radical and that your prospects are still strong with them even with the incident. You clearly are up there with those faster drivers, so sending positive vibes!
You did an amazing job man. Super impressive stuff. It's was really exciting to see you take on this opportunity. I'm glad your okay, your an awesome driver.
Great content, love the commentary during the race. Well done, looking forward to the next race!
It makes me happy seeing all the support your team gives you. Really touches my heart😢
Great video, brilliant drive for your first race. We were privy to everything you normally do on GT7, great job! You deserve this success with all the hard work you've put in, fantastic stuff mate!
Great video Steve, more please. Absolutely fascinating seeing the journey.
Love your videos steve! I'm really happy for you that now you had proper irl racing and proved that you're a really good driver in real cars and in sims. Really proud of you bruv
Awesome video! Love your gt videos and seeing you progress as a racer is amazing to see.
Fantastic Steve, and great shout out to the Radical team for making it happen. I love the sim-racing content, but this is next level. Can’t wait for your next track experience!!! Fabbo!
Thanks Steve for sharing this, you were having a good race, and good lines too, your narration was spot on like GT videos, also props to the team with you, staying there, don't give us, this experience is very valuable.
Love how much time Gordie has for his racing pals. Good debut, lots to learn and that crash will teach you heaps too. ✌️
I love that you post your struggles instead of just cutting it out. Great video
Great to see you still enjoyed the race ..xcellent work and hope to see u in the radical again soon ✌️🌻
nice progression pal.ive been watching your channel for some time now and it kind of remimnds me of my long forgotten dreams about becoming a racing driver, especially when I was playing Granturismo 1 in 1997. shame i never had the time to follow my inner voice. All the best pal, keep up good work👍👍👍
Its good seeing where you have more speed than most of the cars around you, Definitely a lot of potential Steve and good on you Gordie for getting him there.
So much fun watching you race, Steve! I love the addition of live races.
Hello Driver,
I really like these IRL race videos.
The addition of the track layout is very helpful. Your location on the layout is great as well.
Entertaining as always, thank you for sharing a view into your world.
AWESOME video!, keep dooing what your doing, your doing great, and this kind of video is so much fun to watch. Please dont stop making these videos even if you get to f1 hehe. Cheers and congrats
That was so exciting to see you do so well in that second race. Can't wait to see what comes in the future.
Nice one Steve!!!!! No smashy smashy in the first race. Then power, two old switch-a-roo’s, a mega send and a face to face in race two. Glad you are ok!!!
Can't wait to see more! Glad to see everyone is ok and ready for more racing.
it's so amazing to see sim racers get into real life racing cars, mainly because all the strategy, tactics, feel for the race, learning ability for the track etc is already there and there's only the car, racing environment and g-forces to adjust to
TBF I love watching this guys racing journey. Genuinely wish you all the best mate.
Yeah, been in a few crashes myself, and the second between realizing it's gone south and the actual impact really goes by in slow motion, it's how the brain works apparently.
Glad to see noone was hurt and you had a good time on track nevertheless!
Keep it up pal, lookign forward to your future endeavours!
Mega experience .. really cool Steve.. so funny it s like GT starting on the back.. lol
having the shunt done.. no sorries no worries needed anymore.
Glad you are both safe. I took a breath as the spin happened, then a deeper breath seeing the car nearing you for a head on collision. Watching this in 1440p is truly an experience.
I’m so glad you’re okay from that crash 🫣
Bro this is low key on my checklist for life goals after watching go from virtual racer to racer ❤💪🏾
Wow! This video had everything! And the first lap of your second race, or first without a mechanical handicap, was superb. Best wishes, keep it up!
That looked like so much fun! Keep making those dreams come true ❤
I know that slow motion feeling you were talking about... Glad everyone was okay!
It must have been quite the surreal opportunity, and it may have ended a tad earlier than expected, but I'm so glad to see you enjoy something that you've worked so hard for, and I must say, there was some rather decent pace there! Hope to see you back at a track another day. Best of luck with the future mate. 🙌
I remember watching your videos back when you had about 25k subs, on GT, with a controller, in chase cam. So much road has been covered since then... Good job mate, really good job.
Steve, glad to see your progress and new horizons opening. Keep it up and good luck! ;)
Some juicy battles in there, how exciting. Stoked for you Steve!
Well done! Maybe not the ending you hoped for but the experience is gonna serve you at the next one. Keep at it!
Keep up this content !! Love gt7 and this much love homie keep thriving 🤞🏼
It's really amazing the difference you can tell from before the exhaust fix and after it looks like so much fun
incredible! what a fantastic couple of races. glad you're ok!!! cheers
Honestly love these real racing videos, been watching a while. Great racing.
Honestly super stoked for you man these vids are awesome!
Nice driving mate, pity about the end but glad you all ok, superb pace you have!
That was awesome mate, glad all are unharmed - looking forward to the next one!
Damn... you were doing so well too! Awesome racing under the circumstances and so glad to see that you came out unscathed. Onwards and upwards!!!
been refreshing your channel for the past week waiting for this. hyped
Glad you're good, Steve! Loving these videos!
Enjoyed it very much, hope to see you in a radical again. You have a lot of potential. Keep it up man!
This was absolutely amazing. Glad you're able to come out of the incident at the end with no issues. Hope you get to do this again. You have a lot of potential.
You really did an incredible job those races. Your etiquette is out of this world mate. With a proper qualifying session, a podium will happen in no time.
That was amazing, seeing the car improve and also seeing how a dodgy pass on you totally threw your race. So glad everyone was OK after that big shunt. But proper racing and proper fun to watch, come on Radical get him a car for the year!!
Glad you're okay.
It'd be interesting to hear what the exact issue with the exhaust was.
Having been in a car accident as a child, and hearing other people have their own crashes, I think it's very common that to help the persons involved with crashing, the brain basically does that slow down time feeling thing. 100% know what you're talking about when you mention that the single second felt much much longer.
Glad to see everyone in the accident is fine. Hopefully this doesn't tarnish any future potentials in racing. Great video.
Glad to see the transition from sim to real life. You gave it your shot! You live, learn, and keep going! Amazing to see and glad you’re ok!
Super exciting to see ur racing career develop in real-time.
I'm so sorry to see that Steve. Please do more, it looks like a lot of fun, and it's enjoyable to watch
Thoroughly enjoyed watching your race, you were doing an amazing job, I hope to see you racing the radical again, and progressing with your real racing career. It's an honor and a privelege.
Absolutely smashing overtakes that race! Mega drive you should be proud
tbh, if I was on your end of that shunt, I'd never want to get on track with other cars again. One of the reasons I've never pursued any sort of racecar experience (even just as a fun / tourist experience or something) is because of how terrified I was to drive again after my first road car crash. Seeing you determined to drive again after that shunt is really inspiring, man! Hope you get another shot!
This guy is the most realistic guy i ve ever seen ! Hhh..hope it work out for u well ! U r actually living one of our old school dream ! Keep up
DUDE! i loved watching this. I know it wasnt the result you wanted but im glad you are safe and you car is performing again!
Love every minute of that, Steve. Glad you’re ok after the crash. Hope they give you another shot!
Well done buddy! Glad you're safe, but seriously, great experience for you.
What a brilliant explained race experience. Can relate to everything he is saying just like his Karting races.
That was fun to watch and I hope you do more races.
Glad your alright! Your doing great! Don't stop racing!
Very happy for you man!! It must be refreshing and glorious getting out of the sim and do it for real! 9.5/10 is a good score l think for this video, glad you came out fine from the shadow of realm though😅✌🏼
It really seems much fun out there at the track, but the racing etiquette is hard to master😂
This is all incredible experience. It's funny how frustration removes fear. I have no doubt if you didn't have the qualifying problems that crash wouldn't have happened. Awesome video stay positive 😊✌
So sorry for you for the power issue, must have been disappointing. Respect for keeping positive and showing what you can do in the second race. Wish you the best for anything upcoming
26:00 He is so right about this. You either stop after your first big crash, or you gain more confident because you now know how it is like to have a biggie like that (it takes away the fear or crashing).
I am glad both drivers are OK! Cars can be replaced, drivers can not.
God damn super GT is a man of racing.
You’ll get another chance my guy.
We will be cheering for your success!!
Glad to see you racing IRL more and more, I'm sure that head-on was terrifying in the moment, glad you see you and the other driver are ok!
I love how you've carried over your video aesthetic into real racing. Hell, you should use the shoulder cam in Gran Turismo more often just so it looks more consistent with the real race footage.
Awesome Video!! Crash at 23:22 had me crying! I watched it back at 0.25 speed about 20 times and this is what I noticed and I hope this helps some. When you start to brake 23:16 the cars weight is shifted to the front left setting the car into a "slip-angle" situation and as soon as you lift 23:17 you also "flick" (the steering) in at the same time (in some fear of what the lead car is doing) causing the car to "lift over steer" ! before ! the apex in combination of the tire wear from the incident at 20:12 (wheel hoping while drifting) and heat from 22:29. I hope this help see more and I cant wait for more content!!
Like Gordie said, I feel like the end of the video was a good thing in the long run. Happy to see these videos finally becoming more and more irl content ✌️
Bad spam bot >:(
They would be crazy to not have you back. Tha boy got skillz. Working through issues with equipment I think showed your true character, composed, controlled and playing the long game. Was it difficult going from being down on power, to then be right in the thick of it with the increased power, in terms of managing the throttle and judging passing opportunities?
Love the racing content, please keep it coming. I think you have something important for a race driver to be successful, intelligence and the ability to communicate with great detail. Super stuff
1:00 this guy is a legend congrats on making it to the video
ITS TRUE
I love these. Definitely want to see more real racing. Glad to see you weren't injured. These cars are awesome.
