My ui file is missing from Rome total war data folder, but for the barbarian invention has the ui folder into its data folder, so I can't modifie or include units of a faction to others in Rome total war ,,, plz give me a solution,,, how can I over come it.
@@imtiaznayeem1201 i don't know i haven't figured it for myself too i think you must unpack the ui file and add the things you want and compress it again and replace the original one , that's what i think
*Wow, how did I miss this video?! This is marvelous, Thomas, you are a WIZARD! We can finally make units HISTORICALLY ACCURATE! There's the idea for Mod video - "Units made historically accurate":* *Spartans best in defense (maybe even with best shields)! I'm not sure, though, how much to give them, realistic number would be... 30, maybe? And CHEAP - so we can see them more often on the battlefield...* *Parthian archer cavalry that DESTROYED Crassus's legions with arrows must be among best missile units - and HAVE UNLIMITED AMMO (during the battle at Carrae they had camel caravans supplying them)* *Mercenary units got to have better numbers - Hannibal would NEVER do anything with them if they weren't nearly strong as Roman army* *Rebel units must be improved so they could be hard nut to crack like some of them really were* *Scythians also must be monstrous opponent - nobody ever came close to conquer them* *best Roman units to be made TOO EXPENSIVE TO GET in serious numbers* *if it is possible to change Carthaginian heavy cavalry name and numbers to IMITATE heavy Numidian cavarly that Hannibal used to CRUSH Romans... or was it Spanish heavy cavalry? I don't remember...* *If this can be done on Medievel 2 Total War then that would be SUPREME! (making Mongol units even stronger then they are, English bowmen must be BEST archers, Templars best in defense,...)*
haha. No idea how you missed this one. I like your historically accurate unit modding idea. Funnily enough there are aesthetics for supply caravans in Med II. Maybe they were considering adding these for things like that - infinite arrows until the supply wagons are dealt with. New Rome mod video out of Friday by the way!
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH *Exactly. Units must be made REALISTICALLY, Spartan Hoplites CAN NOT be almoast at level of green, rookie, inexperienced Hastati! That is an INSULT. We could even make live discussion on units or things to Mod... I wrote a LIST of things to change for this game to be interesting FOREVER! I'll post that list if you like...*
Adding units to diff factions? For example berserks for the Goths and so on ? Maybe adding units ONLY after capturing certain area- for example Romano -Brits could rec gallowglasses after capturing Tara and so on.
The tricky thing there is the unit cards, but if you dont mind the unit cards and colours on the battle map being a little bit off, the basics for making units available to other factions is simple enough. It's on the list!
Do you have a good references on how to make scholae palatinae dismounted swordsmen? I was able to make them as a separate dismounted spearmen unit in rome remastered but the swords never spawn.
It can be awfully fun and silly. But it can also let you change a few things to balance the game out which is always nice; especially when it's quite easy.
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH yeah ive token your guides from moving units to other faction an editing them an completely revamped numidia! They've got Aremenias Heavy spearmen now Pontuses jav cav but no long shields instead they have all camel units(besides the cataphracts) being recruited in execution square (cause their now bandits) and edited them to be better
Something else you can do is make archers shoot onager fireballs to make quick work of siege battles or steamroll battlefields. There's an excellent mod for Rome 2 Called Heroic Victory Machine where the Archers shoot fire arrows across the map that do Considerable damage but every arrow that lands releases 5 flaming hayballs and they basically turn into a massive volcano nuke on the map that clear armies and cities in just a few seconds. It reminds me a more powerful shogun 2 fots bombardment. anyways have fun total nerds!
Hi TNH, excuse me, can you help me about the weapons change. I try to make Spartan units to wield pilum and throw it on the enemy, but what was happening in-game was, they are holding spear that facing upwards, the units however do the animation of throwing and it make sounds like throwing too but nothing realy happens
I can look into that. I'm away from my computer for a week so if I forget to update you on this then reply again. Sometimes I lose comments in the UA-cam ether! 😅
How do i change primary or secondary weapons? Or change the appearance of units or the horse type they ride on? For me, visual is part of immersion and as i play as the mongols,i would like the archers and artillery to have swords as secondary and peasant armies to look mongol and not Turkic.
*sigh!! At last I can nerf the fcken absolutely broken Scholarii and Athanatoi in ss6.4 completely broken in early era... Playing seljuk right after a polish campaign which Byzantines won(H/VH) made me realize how unstoppable they are. Seljuk literally stand no chance in early era.. I mean... 22 armour cav?(just armour not total) Come on!!! No seljuk unit has attack >5!... currently looking for a way to buff relations between seljuk and kwarazm from the start to give them a fighting chance in early era. THANKS MAN👍
A (potentially obvious) note of caution here: Have back up copies of any files you edit. ENJOY!

Insightful and just a little silly. Perfect!
Thank you; kind as ever.
Exactly what i needed, thank you!
Glad it helped!
You just made this game even more fun than it already was lol
This game is ripe for simple editing to create nonsense!

I like this idea hope more indepth video for this kind of play.
Stat mental berserker and make the city watch in the most op unit haha
My goal is to make the city watch the best unit ;)
love your commentary! makes me wanna pla yagain!
is there any way you can change the ability and or attributes? triarii phalanx sounds cool.
I have been planning on such a video! Really must get around to it as I suspect it would be simple enough!

Every time i download a mod i edit the unit and building stats, minimal unkeep make mass armies is more fun

at the stat_pri change "arrow" to "big_boulder"
How to create a faction for medieval 2 crusades?
I think over time, and a few more guide videos, the ingredients for creating our own faction can come together!
I unpacked and everything was ok BUT when I changed the stats and saved it the stats didn't change
how do I fix that?

And if I can't find this folder then what do I do?
I don't have that txt please let me another trick
I did everything including the unpacking stuff from ur other vid but my upkeep doesn’t change.
Excuse me but do you know how to have better accuracy with artillery via modding ?

how would you change exp related features and stat increase?
How do you change size of unit.like increasing the number of men in a unit
If you make the turn recruit to 0?
Not tried it but that sounds interesting to try! 😅

i came because i want an AI only with this :3 i just found out stuff i knew - best was the archer one xD - i want peasant armies all over
This is far too easy. Now I'm gonna rampage with deathly peasants till the cows come home!
Absolutely!
No medieval 2 :(
