Hi, I've tried doing your Medieval 2 modding guide and followed all of the steps, but changes I make to the units won't happen in the base game. Any help please?

If you like cavalry and lightening fast strikes Pontus is a a good side to pick. I like to go west and hold the east especially Tarsus and Antioch because that stops the Seleucids and Egypt from coming at you. The advantage of going West into Greece and Macedonia is not only wealth from trade between Greece and Asia Minor but.... Macedonia's Temples of Artemis. What ? Why ? well you have some unique troops - Javelin armed heavy cavalry, and the secret to Pontus' success is maximising their effectiveness. recruitung them in one settlement where you have a General with some ancillaries that make recruitment cheap and where you have a foundry, and then retraining them in a Temple of Artemis (anyhting up to plus 3 for missile troops) and all of a sudden you have javelin armed heavy cavalry that have monstrous hit points and are very effective close in melee troops....

Upon first following this guide, my game crashes upon start of a campaign. I uninstalled and got the og files returned. I tried this guide again and to no avail. I now have seen no changes in the edits that I have made other than modifying the descr_strat file. Even the file containing the permanent fort option will not save any edits I make. I haven't found a solution online yet. Not sure why medieval 2 does not like me editing these files to allow permanent stone forts.

I followed the instructions of the video, saved the modified export_descr_unit file but the changes don´t appear in the game... any advice? Nor there is a file in the M2TW folder named medieval2.preferences.cfg. There is a paste named ´´preferences´´ with a file named ´´advice´´ and a text file named ´´keys.dat´´

We android Medieval 2 modders are unfortunately limited into transferring DLC Units (per say we still couldn't find away to like transfer the DLC units into the Vanilla game yet) but we are very crafty into creating our own dlc units by editing the EDU stats,modeldb (using vanilla edu and other stuff we were able to make very interesting modded units into the game) This also thnx to the mercenary line

Love this campaign, before I got Rome I had the demo with this campaign on it. It also had some beta screenshots, purple Cataphracts spearmen, and the unused models for the Hoplites which look cool as hell, always wondered why they never used that. Technically they are in the game but they're used as the officers.

I’ve never been a huge fan of gunpowder in medieval two. Just too finicky usually for me to bother with. But I can’t deny that when they work, they work. I really like the Apache Mounted Thunder Warriors.

I'm playing as the Byzantines, and I pretty much rebuilt the Roman Empire with the exception of Gaul, and I have a Very Reliable standing, with good relations with many of the countries that are left. I notice they might attack you if you leave a city underdefended, but I got to 1274 AD so far, and no real issues lol, thank God lol

The problem with the morale boost is there is no way to know if your units got it or not except for making sure you recruit units only with the temple, it’s a shame they didn’t add something to show it on the unit cards, even in the phone version which is 20 years later!

Hey, i have a question about m2tw. Is it possible to somehow mod the files so i could add AI to multiplayer custom battles?

I had a quick question in regards to the roman superfaction. If you manage to snipe rome and whip out the senate faction does the hard coded alliance between the various Roman factions continue or does it break them up into individual factions automatically?
