Hope you enjoy this video! knowing me i'll be making another abba reaction that will be dropping in a few minutes, and knowing you, i think you'll enjoy it ✌✌ ciao
Very happy that you chose that video from the fantastic 'Abba in Switzerland tv special 1979 BBC'.Another one that's very popular from that show is their promo performance for 'Kisses of fire".Girls look so gorgeous in those outfits.
I believe your new girl turned you down And they say she's pushing you around How does it feel? I guess it hurts your pride Tell me my friend, how many nights you cried Disaster and disgrace The king has lost his crown Suddenly He's clumsy like a clown The world is upside down The king has lost his crown Was it hard to step down from your throne And to know tonight you're all alone? Oh what a shame, you really want that girl She doesn't care, still you just dream of her.... Frida sings those words lead in such a great way.Btw try 'KISSES OF FIRE" from the same show. This time it's Agnetha on the lead and with a much beloved intro.Such a fantastic track.
First comment here! hello dear friend Good start of the new weekebd for you, with more ABBA songs "The King has lost His crown" (1979) Is included in the "Voulez Vous" album it's a great song (7/8pts) with Frida so sweet in leads voice in the introduction verses, that change the rythm when Agnetha join her and do a fantástic duet again I think that Frida is more seductive in her solo while the music begins as a ballad disco; and then the two female voices in the chorus are much powerful And the musical introduction is amazing! ABBA premier these song in these TV special "ABBA in Switzerland 1979' It was the second song , after "Take a chance on me" and you could see before the begining of the song to all four ABBA members introduction to the special show of the International Year of the Childs with all benefits to UNICEF One date: these TV special was exactly a few days after Agnetha & Björn said that wasn't more a couple in a press conference One more date: in the leave streaming of September 2021, when Benny & Björn announced the return of ABBA with Voyage album, the same Björn refers to " The King has lost His crown" of one of ABBA songs that should be a hit, but it wasn''t I see in the next vídeo I hope you react to "If it wasn't for the nights" in the same album Voulez Vous it have a great TV perfomance in Japan 1978 bur with the long version, 5 minutes My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America
@@kyachdistent1301'as a single's band"...well that's an unfair perception by some cause they were phenomenally strong and solid album sellers.Btw All their studio albums since 1977 went straight to no1 in UK's important market and both their 1976 'Greatest Hits"/.'ARRIVAL" albumswere no1 for 11 and 10 weeks respectively, not to mention tht 1980's 'Super Trouper" got in the book of Guiness for unpreceded pre-sales of 1 million copies something that was never ever obtained before by any other act at the time.Abba have 10 no1 albums there in total!
Imo there's no bad Abba song. Great track from the "Voulez-Vous" album. From the same album, there are, "Angel Eyes", "As Good as New", "Summer Night City". Enjoy! 👍 😊
You NEED to play 'Cassandra' pronto, that song is just gorgeous infinity, evocative and amazing and a real crime it was never made a single, nor that 1982 album got finished, which I finished by adding the CHESS songs to the 6 they already made then. Also 'Put On Your White Sombrero', 'Dream World', 'Lovelight', 'Elaine', 'Should I Laugh Or Cry' and 'Slipping Through My Fingers' should not be neglected. Do some Agnetha and Frida solo ones too, plus there's the Gemini act's songs from 1985 and 1987, these are all heavily ABBA-based for the most part, written mainly and produced by B&B and sung in the trademark style, and you can tell in delivery and lyrics that it was the natural continuation of where they had got to via "The Visitors" album material and the 1982 stuff too, and of course the song 'Should I Laugh Or Cry' rudely just kept as a B-side.
Yes, and the hardest it is to reach the bleeding US, isn't it, with their fixed idea on how music sounds (i.e. their way)! God bless ABBA never EVER pandering to a US-"friendly" sound, whatever that is!
Hope you enjoy this video! knowing me i'll be making another abba reaction that will be dropping in a few minutes, and knowing you, i think you'll enjoy it ✌✌ ciao
Best band ever

Fridas smooth sultry vocals are the best. Take care
Silky smooth vocals from Frida make this a standout track from the Voulez Vous album.
I'm just glad they did 2 tracks not picked as singles.
I believe your new girl turned you down
And they say she's pushing you around
How does it feel? I guess it hurts your pride
Tell me my friend, how many nights you cried
Disaster and disgrace
The king has lost his crown
Suddenly
He's clumsy like a clown
The world is upside down
The king has lost his crown
Was it hard to step down from your throne
And to know tonight you're all alone?
Oh what a shame, you really want that girl
She doesn't care, still you just dream of her....

This was never a single but a deep cut from the Great Voulez Vous album.Btw it's one of Frida's favests Abba tracks.
I know, they never did release enough singles, despite being known as a singles band. One of their best albums.

Omg you’re adorable! Another ABBA convert on the way! It’s our mission to take over the planet 😂
