I distinctly remember getting on the zeppelin, when I played this back in the day
Also, gotta love how the grail was found in the former Yugoslavia😆
A very good game, thanks for uploading. A remake of this game, with voices, would be cool. What happened with the final score, it isn't showed!
I loved this game. It was rudimentary code, but that made it charming.
The sticky tape thing got me walking around for hours :)
If anyone comes here for clues to play this game, I recommend using Cheat Engine for the fights: It's a new address every time the game is launched, so search for unknown initial value, use the decreased value accordingly and it will most likely be the address with a value in the hundreds after four or five searches when there are 10 or so results.
You can also save Elsa in the end if you pick up the grail before she does.
i want a all death run of this game
Definitely better than the version of the game they brought out on the mega drive or master system..that was awful I remember as kid feeling offence on how absolutely 💩 it was.

I still don't understand the grail at the end. I'm sure i picked them all and still lost.
The original game came with a small "Grail Diary" booklet that contains a number of in-universe letters and news articles collected by Senior, each containing a description of the Grail. The inscription in the catacombs indicates two sources, one of which must be correct. One of these sources always says the Grail glows, while the other doesn't mention glowing: that's what the large painting in the hidden castle safe narrows down. Then you use the What Is action on Grails at the end to get a longer description of them and pick the correct one. Effectively, old-timey copy protection from the days when you couldn't easily find scans of game manual on the internet if you had a pirated copy that never came with the physical manual.
EDIT: Oh, and note that it's impossible to tell which Grail is which once in your inventory, even though there's only one correct one. Once in your inventory, they're all labeled Grail and Indy always says something along the lines of "Now this is the cup of a carpenter" whichever one you examine. You have to What Is them on the pedestal, before you pick them up.
@@martenkahr3365 To be honest i still don't get it and had original game, so had no chance when i was 9.
@@Mike-Ambrose There are 8 different accounts of the Grail's appearance in the Grail Diary booklet, with some game-relevant parts of the description underlined. There's also a bunch of lore fluff that is not essential for playing through the game.
The Venice inscriptions at 33:40 narrow it down to 2 correct sources out of eight; in this playthrough: a text sent by Al-Jawf with the following underlined parts "a shallow cup of pewter...engraved with a design...seemed to glow" (and non-underlined parts mentioning dents and Jewish script) OR a letter sent by Staubig with the following: "chalice of pewter...etched in Aramaic", with no mention of any glow.
Then at 1:18:38, the large picture of the Grail can have the Grail either glowing, or not glowing. In this case, it is glowing, which narrows it down to Al-Jawf's letter being the only correct option.
And finally, at the very end 1:46:07, before picking up the grail you get short descriptions when targeting the grail for an action (and IIRC, a longer one mentioning the language of the writing on the Grail if you use the What Is action on one), which needs to match up with the correct description for this particular playthough. In this case, the "Dented, shallow bowl of pewter with engraving".
I'm not sure if kids were just expected to be smarter back then, or if it was a deliberate trick to get replayability and more hours of gameplay out of the game by making it easy to mess up and make the game unwinnable at the very end because you forgot to take notes or failed to unlock the travel pass and vault combination to see the grail picture in the Castle.
@@martenkahr3365 Thanks for the explanation, really appreciated. I think all those clues went over my head back then...I must have done those trials so many times and never got the right cup. I think you sum it up in your final paragraph.
I played till like the 4th checkpoint and i quit playing the whole game because because my health was too low to fight and i couldn't talk my way out :)
My favorite way of dealing with the checkpoints was having Hitler sign the "pass" item when you had to give him an item. You just went straight to the temple ! 😅
I didnt understand the slabs on the floor of library in venice
I figured it out 👌🏼
Hi, I'm trying to play this out on android scummvm. You think it's possible?
Hi, found a tutorial on yt, seems to be possible, but didn't try it ;).
@ASR It works fine on Android. The fighting might be a little harder though.
