To me, these bars look just like lavender dreams - the cloudy effects that you've gotten with your pours make me think of dreams. I just finished cutting a cherry soap, made with two pinks, white and pale purple. My whole kitchen smells of cherries. Such fun!

Actually no. Lye is hydroscopic and will pull MORE water from the air if the container is not tightly sealed. It is possible that the lye solution dropped below 65 degrees while out in the garage; at this temperature, lye starts to precipitate out of solution. But usually that will sink to the bottom. The other and most likely possibility is that some of the lye reacted with the air to form sodium carbonate (aka ash, lye lint) that you see floating on top.
I'm always in a mild state of panic that you won't have enough to finish your piping, but you always do and it's always lovely! Where do I buy your soap?

Honey does that. EXCELLENT job with the piping! THAT'S control!!WHY would you mix two shades of purple that were so close? And then further blend in more purple and white to bring them closer? Why not just take the one purple and lighten it? Honest question. Waste of one colourant.
