Protestant antiphonal choir as a Plebe saved my mental health! Remember how patient and giving Talley was with all of us, plus having coffee with John Paul on Sunday mornings. Great times. Class of ‘79

Nice rendition of the more and more famous and respected hymn. Good luck and god speed in your new life at the Academy. This song will be with you for years to come both while in the Navy and in later years as well. It is now used by many of our services thanks to its moving melody and descriptive words put together many decades( over a century?) ago. One comment, the airman verse is frequently left out but should be included during the singing of the hymn with its origins after the World Wars , with all the Naval air, Air Force and Army combat missions carried out under extraordinary conditions, including modern day Space explorations. I hope many of you will continue to participate in the academies highly respected choirs/choruses in the future as well.
