Thanks for sharing. I haven't seen much of Calgary before. Are the people friendly? It looks almost like an American midwest state except it has more modern like buildings and looks very clean and more friendly.
I've lived in Calgary my whole life (so welcome haha, I hope you like the city!), and you'd think it's yeehaw but no no it is yahoo lol. Honestly though Stampede isn't really my scene as an adult, but my work has a lot of professional events during so still get to experience it. And Nosehill is great, we have a lot of beautiful parks and greenspaces in town, tho I hope you can get out and enjoy the mountains soon as well, probably my favourite part about living here! And I know the Canmore Rocky Mountain and Melissa's (Banff) 5K's are coming up in September, but there are actually a ton of runs here.
okay calgary!! this is giving chestnut springs in the best way 🤠✨ and you're so right about everyone moving right now! there must be something in the air lol
I've been following you for awhile now and love your videos! I'm originally from wpg and just moved to toronto. I'm hoping to end up in calgary as well once I'm done my program. Good luck on your new adventure!! :)
Such a fun vlog Celine 🤠 thank u for sharing snippets of Calgary, so incredible close to the Rocky Mountains, stunning! I don’t want to move again (at least for very long time) 😅 have a great week x.
awe I'm happy to share and glad you enjoyed coming along!! 🤠 I couldn't agree more about moving... it felt like having a second/third job 😅 have a great week too!
Long time no see, I'm very happy to see you again. I love watching your vlogs and I love this city. Thank you so much for sharing your vlog with us, It's good to have you back.
I would definitely love to go to stampede 😍 looks so fun! How’s bean been with his reverse sneezing? 🤧 hopefully all well! I love that you go to concerts alone it’s something I really want to do to push myself out of my comfortable zone. Loving the vlogs! Have a great week! ❤
we enjoyed it! 🙌 Bean's reverse sneezing hasn't returned, knock on wood! thanks so much for asking 🥹 solo concerts can definitely feel intimidating - but it can be a worthwhile experience, especially if it's an artist you're excited to see ✨ have a great week ahead!! 💜
Dear Cowtown Cowgirl, that “nothing” dress is beautiful and transformed you into a real local! LOVE the boots too! Consider this your right of passage (kind of like the CNE) which you passed with flying colours! 💜
Hey Celine! Yes I would absolutely go to The Stampede. That would be the highlight of my summer. I don't travel much so that would be a one stop shop. I love the Carnival and State Fair vibes. That looked fun. I'm glad I came back to this video (I'm behind) My favorite part of this video was that park in the beginning. My God that park was breathtaking! The fact that you have a view of the city, the mountains and the prairie lands? Wow. You said it's the biggest urban part in North America right? That was my favorite part of this vlog. I actually missed it first time I watched. Hope you're having an amazing sunmer. I have some updates and questions that i'll ask in yiur more recent video. See you there! P.o.p.
I think you'd really enjoy the fair + nearby mountain views! 🙌 we've been really enjoying the parks and mountains, I look forward to sharing more in upcoming videos 🥹 happy to hear from you and I'll catch you next door in the next video's comment section hahah
Speaking of Badlands, you need to explore Drumheller, the "dinosaur country" which is Northeast of Calgary, before winter sets in. Lots of beautiful places to explore including the Royal Tyrrell museum. If you are not afraid of heights, try reaching the top of the hoodoos. Make sure you have at least 1 terabyte of memory card on your camera. 😊
@@Celinelikedion Drumheller alone will give you lots of photos and long videos to upload on UA-cam. Was there last long weekend, am still putting together my photos and videos.
The biggest money saver is the Superpass for Stampede. If you're planning to go more than once to the Stampede grounds GET IT it's a huge $$ saver. Also Globalfest is the last half of August COME ONE COME ALL 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎆🎆🎇🎇🎆🎆
that's a great tip! we'll have to remember to grab a pass next year 🙌 Globalfest looks so fun, and I hadn't heard of it before - thank you for sharing! 🎉
New subscriber here🙋🏻♀️ please make a video on shopping in outlet stores/mall in Calgary. And show us new collection of h&m, zara, forever 21, aldo etc.etc. Like their females clothes, footwear, bags, perfume, jewellery with their prices.
Stampede is sadly not what it used to be. We have way too many people in attendance now, its not enjoyable anymore unless you like going to the tent raves. Fairgrounds can't be enjoyed, the coke stage has awful placement and is a hazard for exiting after a big concert. As a born and raised Calgarian, its good days are long gone, it used to be an adorable wholesome fair with various outdoor beer gardens that didn't take 4 hours in a lineup to get in. It is now a glorified festival for alcoholics. This year we had the largest attendance yet due to the immigration in Calgary and I will be avoiding it for all the years to come.
I appreciate your perspective as a longtime Calgarian and wish we could've seen the Stampede back then for ourselves! it sounds like it has changed a lot. thanks for sharing your experience
I tried the Pickle Pizza as a joke, but it turned out to be shockingly delicious! Got so obsessed with pickles after that, I had to try the Dill Pickle Poutine too... totally awesome!
@Celinelikedion Hello Celine, this is such an awesome video to watch🥰. I am picking up on how your inner joy in living in a new city and that you are excited to explore more of it🤗I also can’t believe that it is now one month that you moved to Calgary. The stampede festival looked so wondrous and colourful with such a buzzy vibe, many things to do and see. I lived vicariously through you during this video. I really adore your simple, casual outfits😘 and thank goodness you kept the cowboy looking boots, just for the right occasion👍. You looked amazing. 🤩I love night markets that show case many different interesting craft work. The Bow river looks so pretty and wow, you got to see Flo-Rida in action, fantastic. Thank you for answering my question and I can see how hard it was to pack within a certain time frame with everything else going on. I am not into running races/marathons but I say go for it.👍 And venturing out on your own in New York would have been an incredible experience. Thanks for the brilliant video, cheers, Lara🐨🦘
hi Lara! 🦘💓 exploring the city has been a lot of fun, I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog! time has been absolutely flying by there is such a buzz in energy at the Stampede 🤠 night markets and street fairs are some of my favourite activities too, I love seeing the small businesses displaying their crafts 🥹 thank you for the kind words about my outfits, I was unsure about how to fit in as a 'local' hahah and thanks for the question!
