Question: what's the difference between putting the AI logic in the blueprint versus putting it in a blackboard and AI blueprint?
Hello, how can you make sure that when the enemy sees an obstacle in front of him, he doesn’t crash into it, but goes around it?
great tutorial! i have a question tho.. how do you make it so it kills you on touch?
Please include the link you're using on this tutorial if they are available. Thank you.
what about making the enemy call for back up trigering a separate animation for it and a separate animation for retreat if enemy is being hamered down? can you make a video for it?
hi, I really like what you did, it would have been nice if you could have done it properly, for example, attack properly, get hurt and die when attacked, it would have been the best, it would have been nice if you could solve it
hello can you do simple AI that chase player in 2d game tutorial ? it would be awesome
Hello i have one question. The PawnSensing is not properly located and it might collide with objects. Is there any way to move the PawnSensing to the position of my character's head? Great tutorial, thanks.
Hi , is it possible to implement attack animations in such a short interval once the NPC reaches player location?
Hey im using this for a partner Ai it worked in the past for my ai partner but i doesnt work anymore but it still works for the enemies any advice? Great video
How would you change this for flying enemies?
Great tutorial. Everything works fine. I have one question though…is there a way to make enemy lock on to player as it chasing. It tends to “get distracted” sometimes and just stop chasing.
If you wish for the AI to keep chasing you after detection without letting go of you, you can simply remove the Retriggerable delay.
Hi I'm using a metahuman and using the blueprint of it but can't connect the "Self" with the Pawn of the "AI Move to". Any idea? :(
The world map in this vid is from overwatch temple of anubis
:O
is there any way to make the enemy rotate smoothly instead of snapping into the direction of the next location on the navmesh?
Yes, go to your enemy blueprint and press the "Class Defaults" at the top toolbar. Then disable "Use Controller Rotation Yaw". Then, go to the Character Movement Component for the enemy blueprint and scroll down to the rotation settings. Set the Rotation Rate "Z" value to something lower than the default 360 degrees. And then remember to enable "Orient Rotation to Movement" right beneath the rotation rate.
how do you open the blueprint
This would have been a lot simpler if you used behavior trees.
mine sometimes just stops forever but thats okay the only problem is that idk how to make him atack me
The green color isn’t showing up for me
i cant find a component
Can you make tutorials on legend of zelda like game? And upload it on patreon or udemy? not for free. or make 3D sidescroler like Trine. I really try search good tutorials but everyone doing or 2D platformers or shooter games.
That sounds like a great idea. I’ll write this down and you’ll see the course on my website soon enough. Thanks for a great suggestion.
my enemy just stands still
Hi Frank. Make sure your NavMesh volume is working. Try to delete it and add a new one and cover up the map with it. Also remember to press P on the keyboard to see the area it’s covering.
Do you know why my character won’t move she’s just walking in place
Nvm I got it if y’all are having the same problem he talks about it with some dude named frank thanks man and also amazing tutorial
My guy wont patrol the area he just sits still
Bro change the value in radius second node, it would be set to 0 make it 1000 and it works
@@aaravsingla2207 I figured that put 2 months ago
Everyone's favorite OW map
