Thank you so much. I just got an SV06 Plus for Christmas. It's my first 3D printer so I don't know what I'm doing. Your videos are really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to help us out.
lol, I hope that will happen too. Glad that will help you, let me know if you have any issue for set up, I am normally check comment in a daily basis, unless i'm getting too much beer.
Ah, I wish I had this video before I set up my printer. I am going through videos because I have a bed adhesion issue, and also because my nozzle seems to knock the model midway through the print and dislodge it from the bed. Any tips? Which of these are most important to check? Do I have to take apart my printer to check them now?
Nozzle knock the model, did you run z wobble test? Z wobble, over extrusion, and some other thing will cause this happen, I will first check z wobble, cuz the bearing on top was restricted, so if your thread rod is not straight enough, that could cause problem. You don't need to take it apart to check if it is running okay right now. But, I highly suggest to the the heater bed soldering, and extruder gear pinch screw. If you don't feel confortable take the extruder apart, I will have one simple tutorial video coming soon maybe you can follow that.
@@SvgLau I'll look into doing a Z wobble test, thanks. But honestly I just started using Prusa slicer today instead of Sovol's Cura, and it seems to be printing much better just from that. What do you mean by the heater bed soldering? I'd love a video on the extruder. Thank you kindly.
The bed heater cable is soldering under the build plate, located on the left upper corner when printer is sitting down on table. It is covered a bit by heat insulation material on plus, makes it a bit hard to check out. I saw quite a few case regard the soldering issues. Should be able to see it if you flip the printer side way, make sure u don't bending any wires during the process.
How bad is the deviation? ABL should be able to compensate some imperfections. I saw some people put tape on the magetic sheet where it dented. But if it is too large you should try to contact customer support and see.
Thanks for the great video! I'm currently planning on picking up my first 3d printer on Black Friday, I was originally thinking of the sv06, but now I'm really leaning towards the plus One question to be sure I understand, if you use the standard volcano nozzles you must upgrade to a lower profile fan duct to allow the nozzle to get close enough to the bed, is that correct? Thank you!!
If you can, watching some 3d printing video, just knowing some of the terms people using. It will greatly help when you getting start. If you having issue set up the printer, you can come back leave me a comment, I should be able to provide some help.
Thank you, I was randomly looking at Amazon Warehouse returns and saw a sv06 plus marked way down to only $209 USD so I grabbed it, comes in the middle of the week so I'm going to be seeing it up and testing it out this week! I'm hoping it is just an open box return and not a defective printer but I figure it is easy returns if it is so low risk for nice savings!!
Have you ever successfully printed a heat bridge with SV06 plus. I tried with solvo filament. 240 degrees down to 180 degrees and it's not working failure and string! Benchy and light house print ok
06 plus should come with grease, the little white tube that has red text on it. If you can't find them, I suggest to use Superlube, or any PTFE grease should work. I also have on instruction video on lube the machine, it is for sv06 but they are very similar machine in structure, you can use that video as reference.
I have a problem with my SV06+. It seems like it thinks that the bed is in a different place on the Y-axis. So when I tried to print Benchy, it printed towards the top of the bed, rather then the center. When I use a slicer, placing things towards the bottom in the slicer puts them in the middle of the bed, while placing them in the middle puts them near the top. Is there any way to fix this?
There are few thing you could check, 1st: check you "origin" setting on slicer, it normally sets default at x0 y0. 2nd: make sure your linear rod on printer on both x and y axis are free of dirty, apply some grease on it if necessary. 3rd: Adjust the sensorless homing sensitive level from your printer touch screen. 4th: Select homing from the printer menu, observe the motion and confirm the extruder is all the way to the left of the x axis, the bed is all the way to the back on the y axis travel. Make sure the heater bed cable is not jam in between the black base cover. It happens normally when the printer "homing" error.
lastly, if nothing work out. Reset the printer to the manufacturer setting and try again. But remember to redo the bed leveling. If that still not resolving the issue, flash the firmware is last call I would say. If nothing works, reach out Sovol customer support.
Wait so you didnt do the z leveling with your z level assist? I had to do it cause it was crooked compared to the bed. Also gonna check that extruder in the near future. Great video and many thanks
Here's one for you ... Just got the SV06 Plus today. It is set up and running. How do I use files that I download from Thingiverse, transfer them to the Sovol and print? Apparently, it's not just download and move them to the SD card and plug in to the printer. Thanks for any help from you or anyone here.
you need to download a software called slicer, normally people use Prusaslicer, Cura, and other one. The file you download is stl file formate, you need to import to your slicer, and slice the stl to g-code file that your printer will recognize. That said you can't directly put the file you download into your printer sd card and let it run.,

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. helps me speed up the tuning process. as of now, Prusa Slicer has the profile for sv06 Plus!
Glad it helped.
I have 2 of these coming in a couple days. Exactly the video I was looking for. Looking forward to getting them dialed in. Thanks!
Great follow up on these issues.
Sovol needs to cut you a check, this video made me MUCH more confident in my purchase 🤣

You rock, thanks man
what should the temperature settings be for the bed and extruder
210NOZZLE/60BED for PLA, 245-250/70 PETG

Nice job, any suggestions for uneven bed?

Can you make a video on swapping out the bed? My SV06 Plus bed needs to be replaced but I don't know how 😭
Have you ever successfully printed a heat bridge with SV06 plus. I tried with solvo filament. 240 degrees down to 180 degrees and it's not working failure and string! Benchy and light house print ok
do you think is that possible caused by the moisture? If you have filament dryer, you can try dry it and run the test again and see if it works.
Did the grease come with the 6 plus or did you buy it separately? If you did what kind and brand?

I cant get mine to complete a print after a few layers the piece just comes off the bed and slides with the nosle
It will be more likely first layer problem (z offset). Also, did you adjust the belt tensioner. Get there two check out should help.

I had to do it cause it was crooked compared to the bed.
