Yeah, Dallas never claimed Trips stole it. He did take a bit of exception to Stone Cold using the Stunner, but said Steve had made it his own, so he wasn't too mad about it. DDP is such a chill dude. Met him once while training with the Funks. Nice doesn't even begin to describe the man.
@@jimbo_1312Dallas has told the story a few times, so it very well could have been. He doesn't even tell it like he's spilling tea, or anything. He tells it like it's just something that happened and wasn't really a big deal. To be fair though, it doesn't seem like DDP takes too many things to heart. He's a really easy going guy, and he's a genuinely good dude. Hands down one of my all-time favorites.
"End of Days" is a crazy move when you really take a look at it. But we know People will shxt on it because they just watch wrestling, they don't analyse it from time to time..
To me, it's one of those moves that works really well as a finishing move. It can be done relatively quickly/it isn't convoluted to pull off every match. It can be done almost out of nowhere or with theatrics beforehand. It looks impactful with lots of room for flair by giver and taker. And it looks different enough from most standard moves that you know it for what it is (something Shawn did well with his super kicks despite it otherwise just being a thrust kick).
I used to train under the Funks back in the late 90's and early 2000's. The fellas and I found that you can take the Pedigree with your arms held back if you do a modified chest bump. When the opponent puts your head between their legs, you have to tip your head back and firmly lodge it in their taint while they deliver the move. We basically figured out that you have to essentially try and pick them up with your neck muscles only, and lock them during the bump. Not hard to do, but kida tough to do in the swing of an actual match. Letting go of the arms is so much safer, even if it doesn't look as nasty.
I'm shocked and appalled that the Jackhammer doesn't even get a mention. Also, the 619 on its own isn't a finisher! It's as much a finisher as the Superman Punch is.
Top 10 Best Finishers (THIS IS MY OPINION): 10: 619 9: AA 8: Rock Bottom 7: Trouble In Paradise 6: Cross Rhodes 5: Stunner 4: F-5 3. RKO 2: Spear 1: Claymore Kick
Jake the Snakes DDT needs to be in this list as does Paul Orndorffs piledriver. Jake was a lot like Randy with hitting the DDT and ALWAYS made it look like he killed U. I kno many have no idea about Mr Wonderfuls Piledriver but he always jumped when hitting it making it look sick af. Get that 619 non finisher outta here.
Eh.....I don't agree with the F5. It never really connected with me and looked clumsy. Cena's Attitude Adjustment looks clean and impactful, whereas the F5 felt like a minor splash.
That "jump into" the RKO is exactly what makes it look weaker and less effective than DDP's Diamond Cutter, where he clearly had his opponent's head hooked before bringing them down with a BANG!!!
Bret was using the Sharpshooter 2 years before Konnan showed up as Max Moon he even won his first Intercontinental title with it from Mr Perfect at Summerslam 1991 .
I'd put it on the Finisher Mt. Rushmore, right alongside The Rock Bottom, Kane's Chokeslam, and Macho Man's Flying Elbow Drop. Those moves always got a roof blowing pop. It takes one heck of a talent to make such a simple move so popular.
I'd put the Scorpion Death Drop on there, and take off the F5 or RKO. I've watched those two latter moves in supercuts. The F5 is just Lesner spinning another guy sideways in the air, and lettings gravity bring them down with no extra speed or snap. The RKO is actually less impressive, because it just involves Orton timing it just right so he touches and keeps pace with an opponent who's already falling face first. He doesn't actually bring the other person down with any force of his own.
The Rock’s sharpshooter wasn’t bad though. But Bret and Owen definitely were the best to perform the move. Plus, the Rock Bottom and other moves should have at least been honorable mentions
Did you consider tag teams, because if so the Doomsday Device is just the best. For solo wrestlers I grew up with Hogan's leg drop as the climax of every PPV so even though it's just a leg drop I'd have to have it on here. The People's Elbow is pretty much the same thing, but I'd go with the leg drop because (1) first and (2) much more legitimately damaging if done for real. I would have liked to have seen at least one ridiculous move on here, like the Mr Socko mandible claw. Because something like that getting over is why we love rasslin'.
There's def some more greats ones, Like Scott Steiner's OG finisher "The Steiner Screwdriver"! Just a devastating looking move! The Road Warriors/L.O.D.'s "The Doomsday Device" is also a great finisher/tag finisher! When the muscle buster is done "With more (looking) impact, Like say King from Tekken executes it! Different to how S.Joe has been doing it, where he makes them fall/land more on their backs like a powerbomb. Rather than making them "compact on themselves" all while you still have them "In the Folded position" on your shoulders as your ass hits the mat 1st, like a stunner, then you release them to let them fall to the mat! Just a few finishers I thought to mention 😏🤘🏾✌🏾
I think that the Brogue Kick and Clothesline From Hell should've at least gotten honourable mentions. Great moves that look nasty as hell. Good shout on the End of Days though, it's a great finisher. Pity it's wasted on Baron Corbin really.
Honourable mentions: Pete Dunne's Bitter End. God damn when Pete does it, it legit looks amazing. Hogan's Leg Drop. A simple move yes but got super over by Hogan's popularity The Rock's Rock Bottom and People's Elbow again two simple moves that were super over due to the era and the popularity of the Rock
No mention of Yokozuna's Banzai Drop? Sad. When a 500+ pound guy who drops all his weight on someone's chest (granted Yoko's feet hit the mat first), nobody is kicking out of it.
Adam is putting in work to grow the channel with these top 10 lists. I can tell that one guy is putting in max effort talking about Joe Hendry and other niche things but it's really Adam's understanding of the algorithm that grows the channel.
The Stone Cold Stunner is not a variation of the Cutter Johnny Ace used. It was directly taken from the innovator of the Stunner Mikey Whipwreck, for a wrestling channel the misinformation is disappointing.
Shoutout to the Ankle Lock, Angle made Hogan, HBK, Austin, Rock, Kane, and Cena tap out with it. EDIT:originally had Taker, remembered he tapped to a triangle.
two cutters on top. I call shenanigans When Randy first started using the move, I called it the YAC (Yet Another Cutter). It was a time when Austin wasn't far from memory, DDP had just left WWE not long ago, and Mat Hardy's Twist of Fate is basically just a variation of the cutter. Orton really made the move his own over the years thou, I will freely admit that
Peiple's Elbow is garbage, both Rock's finishers are. If anyone else did them exactly as he does it'd bring crickets. Not to mention, both don't look good to begin with.
DDP only asked HHH if he could stop using it since DDP was really starting to get over with the Diamond Cutter. Had nothing to do with stealing it.
I remember DDP telling this story in an interview... maybe with CVV.

Proof that these guys do absolutely 0 research or fact checking because DDP has said many times the story and he was NEVER mad
DDP doesn't steal. He only motivates.
My apartment complex has a street address of 619. So i have that little tune play in my head whenever I get home.
booyaka! booyaka!
that number 1 pick came out of nowhere
Everyone knew it was #1
@@randomramzi1176Stone Cold Stunner was a strong contender too tbh.
PERFECT PLEX
I didn't like the move. Seemed like you could kick out of a suplex with a hook of the leg
Yeah sorry Ken Shamrock 😀

It is a cool move, but to have End of Days on the list while the Widow’s Peak gets an honorable mention is crazy.
End of days doesmt look like it hurt no impact look more like transaction y'all lieing on here
@@PhotonBeast I agree, it can be pulled so easily just out of position. And it looks impressive when it from a Jump/Air Catch
@@AaronDeonte Bro I feel this too! For me, it's the Eclipse from Athena/Ember Moon. NGL, I use it in 2k 😆
the widow's peak is the most sickening finisher of all time imo. followed by the rko and then sweet chin music
Honorable mention to the Jackhammer. Always seemed so devastating to me.

The 619 isn't even a finisher, it's just a setup move.
Agreed. Would've put either the perfect Plex in there or JBL's clothesline from hell in it's place
And the sad part it used to be a. Combo finish. 2K has it as a signature because it's so true thanks à lot Rey Mysterio
@@chuckaveli87I love JBL's Clothesline it's my favourite Clothesline
Thank you, I was going to mention that. The West Coast Pop was Rey's finisher.
@zanethind The Clothesline from Hell? Love it!!!
I love the "End of Days" and appreciate Baron Corbin.
The Hulking up, boot to the face, then big leg drop will always be my favorite.
Hope for a "10 Worst WWE Finishing Moves" video also
Keep the top tens coming pacitti
Honestly happy to see the end of Days on here. Deserved top 10
Arn Anderson with the Spinebuster. Assuming that would be considered a finishing move.
The pedigree is my favorite finisher of all time !!
No widows peak renders list invalid.
Widows peak along with the burning hammer, and the vertbreaker are the best 3 finishers ever, IMO.
I really enjoyed the RKO out of nowhere the first time i saw it when it was called the diamond cutter out of nowhere.

Well, I bet this wont be controversial at all
I was confused why the Tombstone wasn't number 1
Beautiful list
Skinner was the first person I saw doing (what would become) the Pedigree, though later on there was footage of Andre hitting a version too.
Stone cold stunner is probably the best since everybody sold it hilariously 😂
What about Stephanie McMahon's "Women's Special Slap"?
Should’ve had an honorable mention section for the clothesline from hell, chokeslam, and Rude Awakening
Sorry but the 619 doesn’t belong anywhere near the top 10
That's what I said.
Eh.....I don't agree with the F5. It never really connected with me and looked clumsy. Cena's Attitude Adjustment looks clean and impactful, whereas the F5 felt like a minor splash.
If you watch Jake the Snake matches you'll see him walk in and the crowd go wild chanting "DDT". Now that's what I call an over finisher.
Jake Roberts DDT has my vote. Also who else growing up in the 80's did not do the Randy Savage flying elbow off the couch onto friends?
I was today years old when I connected that the Sharpshooter was named that because of Hart's Hitman nickname...
I was hoping not the Leg drop of Doom as #1! x D Great Vid
That "jump into" the RKO is exactly what makes it look weaker and less effective than DDP's Diamond Cutter, where he clearly had his opponent's head hooked before bringing them down with a BANG!!!
Like with the Best PPVs, We need 101 of the Best WWE Finishing Moves!
I'd love a top 10 finishers for both WWE and AEW, focusing on their current rosters exclusively(throw TNA in there too).
Jeff Hardys swanton bomb is a hell of a finisher too
Jackknife powerbomb. Looks devastating and takes some serious strength
heartbroken the syles clash is not here.
Bret was using the Sharpshooter 2 years before Konnan showed up as Max Moon he even won his first Intercontinental title with it from Mr Perfect at Summerslam 1991 .
The rko And the diamond cutter Are the exact same thing DDP hit it out of no where Just like Randy, Orton Both are legends and great finishing moves
Always feel that Liv Morgan's "Oblivion" is an awesome finisher. Such a unique move, it looks pretty gnarly, and it's extremely well protected.

I'd put the Scorpion Death Drop on there, and take off the F5 or RKO. I've watched those two latter moves in supercuts. First time I ever saw someone do the pedigree was Outlaw Ron Bass in the late 80's WWF.
Give my boy his flowers!!! #outtanowhere What a great move to dethrone the stunner, feels like it’s spiritual successor.
RKO number 1 is crazy. Stunner over RKO any day of the week

💯% RKO DEFINITELY NUMBER ONE 🔥🔥🔥🏆🔥🔥🔥
In no order: Razor Edge, Tombstone, Figure 4, Sharpshooter, Stunner, Superkick, Jacknife, Diamond Cutter, Pedigree, Rock Bottom
U should do a seperate video for submission finishers.
The ironic thing is that Marty Jannetty had the better version as he'd usually get his opponent under the chin rather than kick into it from the front
Yeah, sorry, but Macho's elbow drop should've been in the list. Randy looks like he's _floating_ there. It's the best elbow drop in the business.
the F5 is just Marc Mero's TKO
