Lynn has been a hero of mine since I was very young climber. As I learned to climb in my early teen years (early 90's) I read of her achievements, I was amazed by what she did and even had a poster of her on my bedroom door. Congratulations Lynn!!! Keep the achievements coming!!!
I'm happy that I find your UA-cam channel today. You are a source of motivation for me to make the best of my abilities. Thank You. Wishing you health, happiness, and long life.
In the 80's I saw a news story of Lynn climbing. Once I began climbing a year or so later the hook was set. Many of the best days of my life have been spent sharing a rope on climbs from here (New England) to California. Congratulations Lynn and thank you!
I wish I would have known about rock climbing as a kid. I didn't discover it was a thing until about a year ago, and instantly, without trying it, I knew I would like it. Been going to a climbing gym 4 times a week since then. :)
Marlon Mendez I started at 20 and I'm still 20. my biggest regret is not starting when I was much younger because I'd be climbing 5.13-5.14 without risking almost certain finger injury
I started climbing in the early 70s and climbed until the 80s. Even though I was out of climbing I always knew the greatness of Lynn Hill. It's even nicer to hear she is a good person.
You probably don't remember me but I was in your embryology and genetics class. I was always in the gym working out. During a class I was talking to you about working out and you asked me if I wanted to try climbing. I did. You set me up with a few of your friends and I went to the gunks that weekend. I loved it. (Yes; I was scared but I finished it.) I remember when you used to hang from a tree limb during class breaks to develop your endurance. Then came the summer of 1986. :^) Hope that you are well.
Absolute master of rock. BITD ..We were trashing on the "Gun smoke traverse " She came into our spot and cranked a High Ball which I don't recall the name....But it was a vicious one...Back in the late 70's and early 80's it was so cool and an amazing Experience to climb at J Tree and actually bump elbows with the legions of this sport. Bachar' Long' and Hill...Just to name the obvious.
lmao what......"The best all around rock climber there's ever been" Lynn is rad but holy shit i guarantee she wouldn't want people saying shit like that.
I mean, is it really that outrageous? It's certainly up for debate, but she is right up there. The first free ascent of the Nose is a climbing achievement few have even come close to, and she has a right to be featured in the conversation of best climbers ever.

One of the GOATS of climbing and total badass. One of the few people I would totally fanboy out if I got to meet her.
Go Lynn! You're such a sovereign person!
For a woman with a small stature, she is one of climbings greatest Titans!
G.O.A.T.
