One of the most impressive V8 inside one of the most impressive cars in the world. This engine comes from two modified Suzuki blocks if i remember well. Great engine!
They have kept the Suzuki Hayabusa heads, and made everything else. No harmonic ballancer, or crank balancing though. Not an engine I would want to run on the street.
***** Monza is not a point and squirt track you muppet and the rule on a track day is that if a faster driver comes up behind you then you slow down and get off the racing line. The faster driver does not have to make the pass because they aren't racing. Get your facts right before you go slating people in the comments of a youtube video.
No 'point and squirt' refers to the track ie Monaco is a point and squirt track whereas Monza isn't. As I am a racing driver I think that I would have my facts straight whereas you're just a motorsport fan!
I know what you're saying but a 'point and squirt' track usually refers to a track that is narrow and twisty like Monaco and Cadwell Park (if you like in England and know that track)
You can easily notice the brutal breaking power on the passenger helmet's abrupt movement under breaking and also the impact when shifting gears... :) nice!
Jr. Fiebre nah, it's a V8. A flat-plane crank V8, but still. Quoted from Radical's site: "The RP-V8 engine comprises Suzuki GSX-R Hayabusa cylinder heads, mounted to a dedicated dry-sump crankcase. A flat-plane steel billet crankshaft transmits power to the gearbox while a gear drive rotates the Formula One-specification scavenge pumps, twin oil supply pumps and the coolant pump." Basically they built their own engine from two Hayabusa (4 cyl) bike engines.
amazing,a height sensing road car,a laser scans the ground ,raising the car when pulling in over bumps, driveway lips, etc that would make it so much enjoyable.
900KG max downforce at 900KG of weight! That is 1G of downforce, what is it like 3G lateral G force? I guess it can race with Lemans SP cars. Is it really road legal? I mean imagining you can actually cornering in empty mountains at 150km/h.
Very nice! Seems very balanced, easy out of the corners, stable while braking, it's a proper piece of kit. And of course, the quality of the video and audio was great! Thanks :)
Looking forward to seeing these competing in the Bathurst 12 hour 2015! I do not see the issue with the 458 or the Radical. It was a trackday not a race. They did what was expected of any trackday. What for the straights to pass not in the middle of a 150kmh corner.. Even in endurance racing, you would show similar caution.
:) Lol your footage is better quality than what radical themselves are putting up. Thanks! Man I wish they offered this engine in the street legal version... Ariel (basically) did with the atom 500, why no RPE edition road leagal Hayabusa block V8? is the hartley h1v8 design really so different? Ok I'm rambling at this point, I just think a car this track-bred should have a suitably track-bred engine, even in street-legal form.
what's its top speed if it's using a v8 over the old motorcycle engines…i really liked the concept of the old radical, and it sounded affordable to drive...
Hello, That's some amazing footage. I liked the two-shot effect and that you played sections of the car on the track from inside and outside the car. I noticed a strange whistle appear when the RXC was shifted into 7th gear. To me it seemed more mechanical than from speed/friction of the air. Am I imagining this sound, is it an issue, and what do you suppose was causing it? Thank you in advance for your reply.
+Richard Adams The xrc v8 is not turbocharged. The sound you are hearing is from straight cut gears in the Quaife gear box. They make a horrible whine. Road cars, and some race cars, use helical cut gears, which are quiet, but the angled gear shape causes high axial loads (the angle tries to spit the gear out sideways) which requires a much stouter and heavier transmission case. The straight cut gear transmission helps shave critical pounds.
Radical is insane when it comes to Power to Weight Ratios. and the cars freaking street legal to... (would love to see this on the road playing tag with a GTR more or less to see the face of the GTR driver when his ass gets kicked)
Awesome car and great video but I think you need to have more clips of accelerating from the outside, not just this but for your other videos as well like the sitting and revving ones are (IMO) pretty boring. Don't hate just constructive criticism?
2 stroked 1300 cc hybusa motors twined together to make this 3000 cc aka 3.0L v8 beast! put a fine tuned turbo on that shit and its gonna be formula 1 fast! there is a video of one on a dyno. look up "turbo radical on dyno"
I don't know much about these cars. But why are they so bumpy when you drive them? I know they're so low to the ground and have tremendous amounts of down force. Wouldn't that like make it an air ride being stuck on the ground?
As of 10/2016 the price range of the Radical (U.S.A.) RXC Turbo 500 with 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost putting 454HP Starts from $170,000.00+ to $200,000.00+ with all the Bell and Whistles!...IMO, that a pretty good Bang for your Buck Price!...Considering the Mclaren P1 cost $1.3 to $1.6 Million and Both the Mclaren P1 and the Radical RXC Turbo 500 IMO are Tied when it comes to Performance!...Like 2.8 in 0 to 60 and 185+ MPH...and that's pretty Fast to me!...God Bless!
lol getting annoyed at the slow Ferrari, literally going like 70% waiting behind him, the fact u can drive this on the road is insane, ide love to see this car get chased by cops
Not this one. They make a version with Ford ecoboost V6 with over 500hp, but this one has RPE 3 litre naturally aspirated flat plane v8 that redlines at 10500 rpm. I think it's more expensive than ecoboost, and probably no faster, but the sound is so worth it.

I love the sound of this car. Looks really well planted too. Wish list just got longer.
That car is really fast! Would like to hear some accelerations from the outside!
Onboard footage of the new 2014 Radical RXC making a few laps around Monza circuit. I hope you'll like it!
What in the world was the guy in the Ferrari thinking? Did you talk to him afterwards?
***** You're right, the 458 driver was not at fault
***** Monza is not a point and squirt track you muppet and the rule on a track day is that if a faster driver comes up behind you then you slow down and get off the racing line. AronRa can wait, I have to see this.
Seriously though, pretty cool
Fantastic sounding V8.
if i had one of them bad boys...
Mine would be black and white with the V logo on the bonnet :]
Im thinking red and black with a red V on the bonnet :)
damn that would be fun though, id have to move to drive it though lol
SpeedDennis this car I don't think they came out with a V8 they using a for four 4-cylinder Focus and a V6 Ford Mustang
Jr. Fiebre nah, it's a V8. A flat-plane crank V8, but still.

Crazy car and a skilled driver. Those hypercars have nothing on this beast.
A wild looking car, pretty accurate name for it. :) And man it's fast as hell!
Sounds and looks awesome! Great footage!
Thanks man! :)
Very nice! Seems very balanced, easy out of the corners, stable while braking, it's a proper piece of kit. And of course, the quality of the video and audio was great! Thanks :)
Beautiful body design on these Radicals. Sounds has though the engine had plenty left in it as well. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for watching! ;)
Nuclear Missile in my opinion... gongratz for the vid... keep them coming!!!
Lol that 458
Lmao at all of those Ferraris!
well to be fair.. the car tops out at 154 mph , I am guessing the Ferrari's will keep going way past that
This car is fast :o Really nice sounds!
these are fantastic cars my ultimate dream car
Mad aero on these cars..... Stuck to road on those fast Monza bends!
That car is fucking amazing ... And can be used on the road :O
This is incredible.
The driver has got insane feeling for the car
Fantastic sound, but what was the 458 driver thinking! He/she must be blind. How could you not see a loud, bright yellow radical coming up behind you.
It's my corner bitch
True, but he/she could have easily stayed on the inside of the corner.
Looking forward to seeing these competing in the Bathurst 12 hour 2015!

What a wonderful vicious little beastie that be...
Great car and nice video.
Awesome video!
Why are there two seats in a radical?
Great video by the way!
This is NOT what I expected this monster to sound like.
Still impressive, but I'd have never guessed this as a V8.
Great car!! I love the way it looks! +1
Great video,great car!
I want one so bad!
Another amazing video!
Thank you so much
wonderful !
I want one !
sounds like a sportbike engjine, must be the same as the Ariel Atom v8?
SICK
UA-cam should have 2 thumbs up!
:) Lol your footage is better quality than what radical themselves are putting up. Thanks!

What car do you drive?
For normal purposes.
Watching this after Ultima.
I stll love the looks of the ultima gtr even after all these years.
Love theses cars
NM2255 Car HD Videos, na sua opinião qual o mais rápido, Radical RXC V8 ou Ferrari FXX Evolution ? Já que você fez vídeo de ambos em Monsa.
Does it come with ISO fix points? Thinking of selling my house and sole to buy one.
what a music!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Does the steering wheel have 20 mounting points, or 20 useless buttons?
what's the 0-100km/h time of this car? 2.6?
It's really hard to tell if he's shifting or not. He would almost have to be, but I can't tell!
Radical is insane when it comes to Power to Weight Ratios. and the cars freaking street legal to... (would love to see this on the road playing tag with a GTR more or less to see the face of the GTR driver when his ass gets kicked)
I'm willing to bet this engine is the same used in the Ariel Atom v8,an engine made from 2 Hayabusa superbike engines.
Busa cylinder heads...the rest is manufactured in-house.
+Layton Frye Thanks Layton! Awesome car!
Ill take mine with the optional sequential.
Okay it looks very fast
Just completely humiliating those Ferraris
Velocissima
Jep.. it's FAST!
Mi direste che differenza c'è fra la RXC Turbo (V6) e la V8 ?
Turbocharged type?
Didn’t know they made a v8
What a strange looking thing :D But has a great sound
Looks great to me xD
Best lap?
Awesome car and great video but I think you need to have more clips of accelerating from the outside, not just this but for your other videos as well like the sitting and revving ones are (IMO) pretty boring. Don't hate just constructive criticism?
maximum speed at 3:09 in km?

Suzuki Hayabusa heads custom block.
now time to throw to turbos on it
vola!!!
cool!
Awesome! About how fast did you get on the front straight? Just out of curiosity
Yeah, looked really fast. From what I could make out on the dash it was around 150-160
deezyyy Please use km/h, we aren't all using the garbage imperial system.
Around 160mph (257kmh)
Thanks. And to the guy complaining about mph it's international. No rule saying UA-cam is. To use metric. Great vid as always.
ItsThatMilkshake Are you really too stupid to multiply by 1.6?
Is that an auto or paddle shift I
can't tell?
paddle
I don't know much about these cars.
But why are they so bumpy when you drive them?
I know they're so low to the ground and have tremendous amounts of down force.
Wouldn't that like make it an air ride being stuck on the ground?
It's more about the suspension on race/track cars being extremely stiff for the purposes of responsiveness and flat cornering.
No, it means you feel every bump and dip in the road - at high speeds it can get pretty bumpy.
The idea is that they're track cars though- if you're going fast, you're probably on a nicely paved track where bumps are less of an issue.
muito bom !!
i was "playing " with a black one at MIRA yesterday, £105,000, sat next too a Mclaren f1 £180,000 hmmmm decisions decisions
It's a little scary if I'm honest
Great track car for 20 cents on the dollar verse big buck supercars....
what is the cost of one of these?
It starts from 65k US $
***** wow! that car is crazy fast... it has to be more than 65k
SammyBangsTina ***** The RXC V8 costs £117,500, or roughly $175,000 USD.
+Stuart Edwards The V8 version is roughly $200,000 USD
As of 10/2016 the price range of the Radical (U.S.A.) Is this road legal?
I think that only the V6 version is road legal ...
Sweet - I just Jizzed :-)
Like 2004 f1 4-cillinder sounds
those doors arent dangerous in case of accident?
if the car ends upside down how can the pilot open the doors to escape?
Like the Sls Doors :)
Xipinag h
but the sls has explosive parts to release the doors, this car also has that?
yeah, otherwise it wouldnt get a license to drive on the road
Radical sounds like rally and f1 2008
lol getting annoyed at the slow Ferrari, literally going like 70% waiting behind him, the fact u can drive this on the road is insane, ide love to see this car get chased by cops
This isn't road-legal is it?
I'm not sure about this one but they do make them that are street legal. Pretty awesome to think about.
Believe it or not, yes it is!
Yes it is street legal.
Engine braking must be insaine!
My Volvo estate would win
I don't think they are using a V8 they are using a 4 and 6 cylinder Ford engine
Not this one. They make a version with Ford ecoboost V6 with over 500hp, but this one has RPE 3 litre naturally aspirated flat plane v8 that redlines at 10500 rpm. I think it's more expensive than ecoboost, and probably no faster, but the sound is so worth it.
Se viaggia ...
Definitely not a 6000SUX
Passengers add weight. If I owned one, no passenger seat. Go faster!
Pissing off Ferrari owners one at a time 😂😂😂 v12 huh lol that sucks we got a 3 liter v8 😅
That doesn’t sound like the V8...
Thats a Ford V8 WTF????
Not your granny’s v8
ugly but useful
in foto molto bella.
dal vero le proporzioni dei volumi sono osceni.

peccato
l'abitacolo sembra una bolla posata sul corpo vettura....
