Got a feeling the 2.0 will not have solid A arms and the ride hight will come up a bit. Love the look on this truggy though, it’s like a poor man’s sledge. Overall looks like fun though
The solid arms are new to this platform, they look to have plastic inserts in them so if you want more flex if they are breaking I guess these can be removed
Got myself an Apatch and yes the servo is rubbish, replaced it and its a beast now. Bought a second for spares, still cheaper than most other brands for a similar spec.
Hi! New to the RC world. Haven’t got a single RC yet. Still learning and studying about it. Great channel by the way! Would it be possible to make a video on RC accessories such as batteries, the types, connectors, chargers, etc. I know you don’t normally reply to questions. Appreciate it!
Those tires are a direct copy of the Duratrax 6 pack Mt (my personal favorite 1/10 offroad tire). Unfortunately those tires are getting very hard to find. Maybe now that they come on an FTX we can get them again
Bump your pinion will help on throttle response when jumping. Agree. Servo needs to have more torque and speed from the vid. Would love to see how it does with a better servo and a 1512 castle with an mmx6s at 2650 kv on 3s to 4s.
I think the Apache has been updated with the same Hobbywing 60amp ESC as this, not sure on the Ramraider. Need to confirm with CML though (Update Ramraider and Apache have been updated)
Love to know what motor and servo you would drop in it. Love the look of this thing, just wondering if you could compare this and the maverick flux2 XT. Very similar looking truggys
Love the ftx brand (rgt for the foreigners) gives people a great quality, more affordable excellent rig to get started with in RC or even us oldies wanting to save some money but get a quality RC 👍
I would say a true 15kg would be ok. When I used to race nitro Truggies 15kg was about the max available at the time and had no issues with them the problem is companies kg don't always match the real kg
I would disagree, they make poor to average quality vehicles, my FTX carnage was junk, each time I fixed it, I found multiple other broken parts and stripped screw threads.
Nice to see them (them being the FTX/FS Racing etc. conglomerate) iterating on that old Helion platform. I have an Apache, rokatan and Ramraider and enjoy driving them all. This looks to have some very interesting upgrades over those trucks, the centre bar in particular.
Not sure if your manual says it but this car and receiver has a gyro. I didn’t know this and hated the steering. Once you turn that off and the steering end point on the receiver, the steering is much better.
Not bad but i think the Redcat Valkyrie is king of the budget basher market. If you can get them at least. $299 U.S. and 4s capable. I do wish it had threaded aluminum shocks like this tho.
Small hex head countersunk screws an upgrade ? When run on wet and dirt areas the best would be slot head screws. You can clean the dirt out of the slot with the screwdriver easily. Not good with crossheads and even worse with small hex's. Keep up the great reviews though. 👍

Great little truggy jumped well and did good overall Your channel is awesome never a dull moment. I just got back in reviews. Keep up the awesome content. Hopefully in 2 weeks i will drop few.
Just to point out Phil, when you compared this to the older model, I believe that was the Ram Raider, and the Apache you mentioned was on the lower shelf😅 Anyway, nice stuff from you as always!😎
@@MisterBee79 Oh yes, I was wrong! Thy are Zorro's as you said :) He did have a orange Apache though, which is not shown here.. I thought he said 'I saw my Apache..' but now watching this again I think he says 'I sold my Apache..'

If only the Americans realised how much we have to pay for an Arrma!!!!

Room for a bigger pinion?? I’d like to get that thing FLYIN down the street! I’d love a follow up video of this 1:1 gear ratio maybe with belted tires, maybe 17mm 1/7 scale tires….🤔
