  • 🇧🇾 With only a day left until my time was up in Belarus, I had one final mission to complete. To head back into the radiation zone and find an old friend of ours. But before that I headed down an old radiated road and found something interesting on the wall of an abandoned house.

The last thing that Kolya said to you before saying goodbye (the one that you did not understand) was a Russian proverb:
"Гора с горой не сходится а человек с человеком всегда сойдется!"
    Translation:
Two mountains will never meet each other, but two humans, eventually, will!
    It has two uses:
    1. People say it when unexpectedly visited by someone they know after a long parting.
    2. People say it before saying goodbye for an indefinitely long time to someone they know in hopes of seeing this person again sometime in the future.
In this particular case i think Kolya meant the second one. It is very touching and important peace, so i thought I should point that out.

In Arabic we say "مصير الحي يتلاقى"
Which translates to: "its destiny for the living to meet"
Which means as long as two people are alive they will surely meet

His remark about the war really struck me. It is estimated that up to a quarter of Byelorussia's population was murdered/perished during the Great Patriotic War. Given Kolya's apparent age I don't think he may have any direct memory of that catastrophe yet it is apparent that it is an integral part of the psyche and worldview of the people of that part of Eurasia, especially the older generation.

@Super Jeff being on your own whether you are an introvert or an extrovert is not easy. It doesn't matter if you're in a city, or you're in the woods alone. The only truth that sustains an introvert is that the final journey is a solitary one no matter how you choose to live your life, conversely, that truth is what an extrovert fears the most. Mr. Bald understands this. He travels by himself most of the time, all over the place. He's in control of himself, and he can't speak for others. He's a man that has given the middle finger to expectations, and does what he wants to do with a full heart. That's how i live my life, and although it is truly a very rewarding life to live for ones soul, it's difficult to find other people like yourself to settle down with because you don't settle when you live this way, and 90% of the human population spends their entire lives avoiding the meaning of who the person in the mirror is because it's not about accepting one thing....it's about accepting one thing, then another thing, then another thing, etc....We're in a war with Time, our ego, and our soul, everyday, time invariably wins, so who is to say what is the best, correct, or most healthiest way to get there. Just my opinion though.

I have become addicted to your channel, binging all of your videos back to back, and thank you for your real, uncensored, unjudgeing (while often amusing) picture of the previous USSR and it's citizens lives. It is unimaginable to me to live on through the ...events...most that you highlight have been part of, and it amazes me that it has not really been so long ago. I wonder now what has become of a few of these special people now in 2022, and if you have ever returned to visit to find them gone? It must be hard to think so much on that real possibility, but I wanted you to know they have touched my reality, and please don't stop the work that you do!

Amazing....the adventures you have and the people people you meet in your life. To help a stranger in need is what this humanity was put here for. Shame parts of humanity screwed it up. This is such a touching end to this part of Mr Balds trip. The man is not only an adventurer but a truly decent blueprint of what the human race should have evolved into.

Said to yourself "huh it was a long time ago I saw a yellow car (or any situation for that matter) and then later that day see that exact situation?
The double slit experiment proves that everything is energy, everything is connected, your body is not physical nor your car. UA-cam it and it'll explain it to you. So the fact that Kolya was waiting right at the road simply means he had the same gut feeling as the metaphor with the phone call. He picked it up from the field.
UA-cam search -> "The double slit experiment". It'll change your perception of "reality" in more ways than you can imagine.
This is not religious or blind faith. This is proven fact.
