Love this version, memories of long winter walks usually dreaming of summer in far off places. Was 12 when this came out(mamas and papas), still dreaming, not so much of the walking sadly.

Southern California is about the nicest climate on Earth, but Northern California is certainly among the most ecclectic, diverse and world-spanning cities on Earth. "North California", the "Central Valley", the Southern deserts and the Sierra Nevada mountain range are all as distinct in culture and history as in geography.
I lived in the SF Bay area for about 10 years, mostly in the "East Bay", particularly in the Oakland hills, but never on the peninsula or in "The City". (In Northern California, "The City" (capital letters, please) is unambiguously San Francisco, never "San Fran" or, even worse "'Frisco".
