Vergil 2 in DMC 3 has a special phase when you hit a certain HP threshold. You can trick his AI into skipping it by doing very specific damage. Leo Armo Cantus and Felidae Cantus have the same kind of trick to them, where HP thresholds decide the type of move they’ll do.
