Congratulations on having surfed so well. It looked like a great experience. The contest was easy to follow: I watched a live feed (at work) on the WSL website and the schedule was accurate-I knew exactly when your heats were coming up.
I bought a hoodie through the Glide Surf Collective to help support your trans-Pacific wanderings. It's really nice, soft warm and comfortable. It fits perfectly. Very well-made and I can highly recommend it.

🎉 Very well done! Wasn’t able to make it to see in person but watched the videos of the contest. Showed a lot of courage to make the best of mixed up surf with surface chop. Kept the glide and made it look pretty easy. Love the ending of this video, just plain fun in clean glassy waves. Blessings!

Hi Ben can I ask you what size and volume board your surfing? And what your Weight is? I'm about 192 pounds and have a 9.2 board 75.5 liters 22.1/8 by 3. I usualy surf small weak and sloppy beach breaks, thats why I bought a little more high proformance board so I can stear and manouver a bit easier. Do you think I made the right choice?, love your vid's learning something evertime
Hey!! This board is pretty big haha not what I’d recommend for everyone but it’s a 9’9 by 24' , I think for small beach breaks something that is wider (e.g 23 1/4 ) is still okay but you’re right in having a board with more rocker and wide point in the middle can definitely help to navigate those waves! Ben, what do you think about the diamond tail?
Love a diamond tail - in terms of what I prefer, I like it not to be too pronounced so it acts more like a square tail, but they look lovely and have ridden them in my quiver a tonne - my nova pro model is a shallow diamond tail 🤙

You were surfing the wrong equipment....those waves should of been surfed with a 2 + 1, not a single fin.
I think it's single fin traditional style logs only has to weigh a certain amount aswell
Contest criteria is for single fin longboards weighing 15 pounds or more.
