Fascinating series of talks I was introduced to Biofilms through Lyme Disease and especially Eva Sapi's work and at last her publication on borrelia and biofilms. More recently Dr Alan MacDonald has spoken about Bill Costerton's work so it has been great to see your videos. Incidentally you might like Dr MacDonald's new website alzheimerborreliosis and his latest research into the hypothesis that the plaques in Alzheimer brains are formed by biofilm.
"A strange phenomenon that he has chosen to call sludge.." "He's from Detroit" Science jokes. Great rendition of the great Costerton.
How can patients connect to these doctors and researchers? I am a chronic uti patient and would love to volunnteer to help with urology biofilm research. Something FEW urologists will even consider.
I was unable to access the other video's from the link on biofilm community any ideas what I need to do to watch them.
I can't believe work and understanding in this area has being going on for over a decade and no uk doctor I have spoken to had heard of it or understood it in the slightest until I told them, I understood it fully in 2 weeks from some obscure journal, my gps kept telling me, its not science yet I never backed down 4 months later there still trying to kill me with ignorace its very painfull internally god bless real scientists like you guys that don't just care about money and listen to patients
