You make it sound so dramatic and sadistic, like the mom is evil or something because she doesnt let her self die first - the baby is unlikely to survive without the mother anyways. Human bodies also stop producing non essential things like breast milk when in starvation mode.
I love how she actually allows him to open the pouch. I would have expected the kangaroos without joeys would allow it because there's nothing to protect but it's the other way around, which I find quite interesting.
I think they kinda get used to "the abuse" when they have a joey, while when they do not it becomes much more invasive to poke around. Kinda like how I bet a mom who is breastfeesing is way more chill about who sees what in public, than a person who is not breastfeeding.
God's creation is beautiful and amazing! These precious animals are fascinating. Baby Joeys are so cute! We need to preserve all creatures and their environment. 🙏💙
