I've never really been interested in watching woodcock or grouse hunts because I only get pheasant where I'm at. You changed my mind with this video. That is impressive shooting in the woods at small quick targets, with quick bird ID. Great video!
Thanks that means a lot! So glad you enjoyed the video. We chase pheasant as well and enjoy the too but we always love grouse and woodcock. I have the luxury of editing out some of the terrible shooting, and there is some terrible shooting streaks we get in with ruffies. Woodcock are a challenge too, especially in early season with the cover still up. They are certainly easier but can fly in the most frustrating ways. I love woodcock also because they just make you smile and laugh.

Haha we came across a few in Nebraska and had to laugh at them. They seem to just stop flying more than land hahaha
