I saw them at a concert in my country Denmark back then and Dave opened his pants and pulled them down and stood there in these black net underwear, the girls screaming for him to drop them too and he had a lot of fun with that. It's actually the only part of the concert I remember:) Years later my sister went to a Robbie Williams concert and he too dropped his pants but he mooned his audience:)
@@MissWitchiepoo oh my god! That would of been nice to be there when Dave nearly baring all. I said nearly as he would be teasing and it would of got me quite excited. ❤️❤️
I was about 6 years old but I can still remember the words to most of their songs. Many Xmas and new years parties were had and no one was allowed to sit down, endless dancing.
Like a number of 70#s outfits, they distinctly "uncool," but, looking back on their material, nowadays, they're a bit of a guilty pleasure and I've really grown to admire Dave Bartram's voice!
They're possibly an influence on madness. I know Madness wrote their own great stuff, but the amount of talented musicians plus the Buddy Gask/Chas Smash individual. Eerie coincidence. Plus Buddy and Chas didnt suffer fools, if you know what i mean.
Thanks Alex for putting this on straight away. It made my Christmas. Who is the guitarist right at the back in line with Romeo on his Drum riser? He with the blue suit & mutton chop sideburns.
I first:saw:SHOWADDYWADDY in 1975 in Dundee's CAIRD HALL sat:right in front row.Dave Bartram asked if some people would like to go onto the stage so i was one of them. What They did was lift you up in air and then put you down again;was the greatest ever feelingMet them once in Dundee Union Street sitting in their Estate car.Al James and Malcolm Allured(The Duke).Ihad my young sister with me and she asked if they were SHOWADDYWADDY Yes was Al james reply.I went to at least 6 times to their Concerts up Dancei g all time they played. Some people never got up to Dance once;why go if your going to just sit?Was once on stage soeaking to Dave:Bartram(my favourite)got a kiss from him on cheek;as i always:wanted to meet him personally.wrote to jim will fix it but never heard from him so my friend who was with me asked Dave if i could meet him on stage and i got my photo taken with him was in my element. Those:were the great old days my friends lv Showaddywaddys greatest Fan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This line up all played instruments even Dave played guitar in concerts . Only thing they didn't play on this was sax but current line up has sax player. Top of the pops didn't like them all having guitars and the 2 drummers so the guys came up with the dance routines
Showaddywaddy has got what it takes
Saw them this year they were shite
Saw them at Bacup last week and now I cant stop.playing!!
Nature didn't give you such a beautiful face, superb.
Great childhood memories
I saw Showaddywaddy live back in the 70's. They were amazing
Leicester's Finest Sons🌠
Some of the greatest party tunes ever came from these legends
No legend's all other people's songs cheap pop music
Nothing like a 70s Xmas
I still like them. 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤
They're all there the great original band. Dave, Buddy, Al, Rod, Trevor, Malc (the duke), Russ and of course Romeo. ❤ em.
Rip Buddy and Al... Thanks Guys

“When you’re near me ooo weee, my head goes around and around” with a sexy gyrating of his hips ❤️❤️. You can set my soul on fire anytime Dave ❤️

And you still listen to them 6 years later?

He's still a hunk. Eventually see him on Authors on lockdown. Those Brown eyes

Always loved Showaddywaddy. This is from Red Star, and what a great song it is as well.
Dave Bartram is still so handsome in 2020
Why do Showaddywaddy make me smile.....dunno why!
Cos they had FUN!!!! Bands are too serious now!
Great band brilliant music
That's Russ Field. Left in 1985, lives in Northumberland now. I have one of his suits - but not that blue one!
Lucky man Alex. My first drape was inspired by Buddy wearing blue.
Seen this line up quite a lot. Loved this band. Heaps. Bought their singles and lps. Was in the fan club.

They have always been good. And great music to

Classic .
As they said they Really we’re the worlds greatest rock and roll band.
Got thatxxx
ピンクのエドワードジャケットが素敵!70年代でこんなにエドワードジャケットが似合うのはDaveと日本のCherryBoys·Tommyしかいない!…と思う(笑)

I’m not altogether sure, but he looks like rod
Thats Russ Field an original band member from 73 to 85. playing bass guitar
Stylish boys. Drinking the best champagne ever. Bottle of verve on the go xxx
Watched them play 3 days ago, on their 50th anniversary tour. OK not these, well except Romeo :)

Shawaddywaddywadddywaddyyy😊
Dave Clark 5 had a hit with this as well .
If you don't sing along with this, then I hope you come out of your coma soon
Anybody knows how tall Dave is?
I think he must be over 6 feet. I’d like to know too. I like taller men. They give nice cuddles.
@princessNottingham Our thoughts are alike. My hubby is 6"1
@@PrincessNottingham well they wouldn't cuddle you
Where Is The Saxophone- Player?
He is on the right , playing guitar in the lime suit.
@@gweightman Thank You Very Much👍
A session musician by the name of Jeff Daly played the sax on SWW tracks recorded in 1977
In my opinion these guys are better than the Beatles when It comes to British bands
😅 I absolutely love Showaddywaddy, but they didn't write any of their songs. Yeah, they really are better than the Beatles. Once again 😂
Verv
Put Romeo The Drummer up Front,
I was 18 then and didn’t like them at all, apart from the lead singer who was a dish. However I really like them now.
Best version of marv Johnson song
The Dave Clark Five had the best version ever
1 off there better songs
Oh dear someone else's song again pub band money for nothing crap
Seen the band not one played a instrument
This line up all played instruments even Dave played guitar in concerts . Only thing they didn't play on this was sax but current line up has sax player. Top of the pops didn't like them all having guitars and the 2 drummers so the guys came up with the dance routines
The cheerful shallot superiorly soak because chauffeur emphatically sail below a acid place. womanly, foolish half-sister
