Queen, Kiss, Motley Crue & so many more owe a big debt to Sweet ⭐️
Graham - you're probably not far from the truth there.......I went to their concert in Hamilton, NZ, and the crowd booed them...but they were so far ahead of their time...they were fantastic, and they led the path to the glam bands that followed - absolutely no doubt about that.

Das war der Traum aller Zeiten..10 Klasse
What wonderful times were the 70s and 80s, when i look back i feel a deep sadness of what life is like today. I dont just mean covid-19 but also how humanity has become, we're alot more serious nowaday's "cant do this because of this", cant do the other because of that". I have never felt so restricted and never known such dark sad times, never been as much depression as there is now, i for one truly hope covid makes us all less demaning and selfish and really start enjoying life again.
Well said, what the hell has gone wrong?

No one on the charts then was as much fun glam wise for this 12 yr. old glitter critter. The teenage rampage stomps are a nice, tender touch!
I'm 45 and love this music! Why don't they make it like this today??
They don't have it in them, I blame their parents.
I saw Brian perform at Butlins Minehead not long before he died. He looked really ill but still gave it his all. I think Brian had a heavy metal soul but got swallowed up by glam rock. He and Steve are gone but hopefully will never be forgotten.
To be fair, I thought that glam rock gave them their stepping stone and fan base... but then, maybe I'm biased, 'cos I love GR!
