I have a 2020 Softail Standard. I love mine. It handles great. The 107 has plenty of torque especially in a lighter weight bike. It looks like a motorcycle. It’s like a Sportster with a M8 motor. Best of both worlds. I put on a sissy bar, passenger pegs and a HD Sundowner seat.
I have a 2023 and I like its black color a lot better. I like to keep it stripped down in the Bobber style, but the one thing I think is worth adding is a detachable wind screen. They don’t change the look much at all, can easily be removed any time, and they really help with freeway riding. Totally love the bike though!
The Softail Standard has always been a one color paint bike but I am thinking by Harley Davidson not offering black it is going to hurt sales of this model now. IDK.
@@jagjr6772 it’s true. I have a 2022 standard. For 2024 base models have been made Billiard Grey instead of black. Low rider also. You can still get black for the standard still it’s just an up charge now.
I have a 2024 softail standard and it does indeed come in black with the red accent on the tank, so it doesn’t just come in that grey color. (I’m in Cali) I asked them about that color and they said only some dealers got them but they didn’t have them out here as much because they can charge more for vivid black
I have a 2024 gray but like you said they do have them in black I'm in NY but they want $500 extra just for the color black, overall I think it's a fun ride but like he said in the video if you wanna make it your own you're gonna have to custom some things, the seat is the first thing I'm thinking about changing
Saw a CFL built by the Long Beach shop in 2000 in this color, every part. Had tangerine and lavender pinstripes. Worth a look? People were diggin that color 24 years ago
I really like it, and the color is nice, black is nice, but it's not the only color, you can't just be stuck on black, gray, green ,is nice too, be open minded, I even like some of the teac, some of it, I just think it could come down in price, you shouldn't have pay for your bike , for 6 or so years.
I love the Grey with the red Harley Davidson on the tank! Love that old-school appeal of standard. I absolutely positively 100 percent hate, HATE, the name! The standard? Come on, Harley. It makes it sound like you just don't care. It sounds like, yeah, here's a bike with chrome and the 107, and it's the cheapest, whatever? What they should have done is named this the Street Bob, and the 114, blacked out version should be the Street Bob Special.
They save on paint, but the bikes are getting more and more expensive. I think my 2012 883 was the last Harley I will buy; there are too many good options for that price on the market...
It cuts off at either 115mph or 105mph but if you get a regular stage 1 tune than the speed governor is removed and rpm rev limiter is higher. I'm pretty sure it's 115 mph cut off at stock though.
The grey is cool, but most will probably still want black. The bike looks good but the display is laughable. At least on camera, I couldnt make out anything. I would like to see what drag bars look like on it. Im sick of seeing mini apes on anything.
lol this bike has a bad case of paintflation! Harley is dying due to the prices average people cannot afford them especially the younger generation . even their used bikes are over priced for what you get with high miles.
I just did a test ride on the standard. The ergonomics on this bike are a disaster. This video is BS!. Sure, you can change the ergoes IF you want to spend thousands of dollars. Sure everyone upgrades. Harley is a rip-off for suckers that want to "upgrade." Everyone "upgrades" because the bike is a disaster. This review is a joke.

John how do you like Sundowner Seat on this bike ? Thanks
I have a 2022 standard too, just like you HD sissy bar, sundowner 2up seat, and more windshield, guard etc.
Almost everyday I ride it with smile~~!!

I totally feel this. Have the same bike and ended up doing the Memphis shades, totally changed the look but I loved it.
I spend very happy years with my Standard~~😊
When I ride this bike, of course
I'm satisfied with the classical appearance just by standing it up~~😍
Clocks not being set is an extreme pet peeve of mine. I always make sure they're right.
I agree totally
Shame they couldn’t make them look like the older 2000-2006 model Standards. That was when they had a classic look!
Yes, needs the flipped up bob tail rear fender.
The new base colour of Harley bikes seems like a money grab. I think its going to hurt sales very noticably
Basic black was beautiful. Shiny primer gray, not so much. Now , make the entry price 'affordable'
The Softail Standard has always been a one color paint bike but I am thinking by Harley Davidson not offering black it is going to hurt sales of this model now. IDK.
Black is still being offered it’s just an up charge now because Billard grey is the base colour now instead of black.
I believe the soft tail standard does not have another paint color option @@riffboogie6529
@@riffboogie6529 Are you sure? Softail Standard has always been a one color only model.

Screw that little pager, Harleys should have gauges.
Agree the one thing I hate on mine is that stupid garage door opener

@@tigeremalo08 damn that’s crazy I had no idea
*Battleship Gray.
Glad I got mine in black last year.
I love that bike and I love that grey color and all i would add would be a sissy bar back rest and luggage rack and a crash bar
I would love all of the chrome but on the Street Bob 114

Beautiful bike and the color belongs.

I like the black color much better. to me it gave it a cool look
Mine is a ‘20 vivid black, but I like the gray. HD should make color optional in the fxst
I agree I am 175 cm tall and when I sat on that bike my knees came up as well totally uncomfortable 😢
Bike comes in black as well for those that don't like the billiard gray, for an up-charge.
Some red/orange flames on that color would look good
Excellent video.
Looks great, awesome bike.
2024 comes with 2 colors Grey and Black 😊
I can't say I like the grey. Otherwise.....I love it.

I would get a passenger seat and pegs. Other than that i think it looks great. Also black
Would you say this is a good beginner bike for someone with zero riding experience or knowledge ?
i have the 23 love the color
I'm glad I got my '23 when black was the standard color. I'm not a fan of primer.
The only thing I would change is the pipes and foot pegs and hand grips
They save on paint, but the bikes are getting more and more expensive. I think my 2012 883 was the last Harley I will buy; there are too many good options for that price on the market...
I'll have to get the tins sprayed black because that grey really sucks, you're better off buying a street Bob or a used standard 😢
Billiard Gray is not new for 2024. My '23 FLTRXS is two-tone with Bright Billiard Blue, Billiard Gray, and a Billiard Red pinstripe.
I think it looks surprisingly good. Better than black.
Idk how I feel about this paint
❤❤❤❤❤
Grey makes more sense if you are thinking of repainting.
Dump that red lettering and you have a winner.
Yeah I actually love the grey but it would look so much better with just a clean black bar and shield badge instead of the red lettering.
Can it go over 100 mph or does Harley stop it from going fast
It cuts off at either 115mph or 105mph but if you get a regular stage 1 tune than the speed governor is removed and rpm rev limiter is higher. I'm pretty sure it's 115 mph cut off at stock though.
He tall are you?
Big engine and 3.5 gallon gas tank. You won't go far before having to refill your tank.
Better color the grey.so many harleys are black.i dont get it why grey is standard color.weird.😮
Sure did sound like an infomercial.

As if things weren’t going well for Harley already they go and put the base colour to grey . Very greedy Harley. Base colours should always be black
I Drive 2022

Into into one exhaust and you Woods cam
I hate the new colour 😂
Idk if I want to get this or the fat boy give me hints peeps

“Bill you’re gay grey”
