  • A Big thank you to my good friend ‪@DissFooJosh‬ For always being there for me, helping me promote my name and business and overall being a great friend in every situation to me, also, I would like to thank him for the awesome Camera that he gave me a fantastic deal on! This will help me make quality content for you guys (If i can hold the camera still ofcourse lol) But overall, a big thank you to him!
    This video is a general 4G63 build video, I tried to get as detailed as possible, however, because I was by myself I could not really film steadily and talk at the same time which I obviously need to work on, which is something I will do and have a second helping hand so I can explain and demonstrate in even more detail!
    In this video we talk about proper machine work that needs to be done to have a strong foundation for an engine build, some of the tools that are used in the process of blue-printing the short block, Tactics and tips for ensuring bearing surfaces are free of any foreign particles prior to assembly, piston ring filing and techniques, using a stretch gauge for the connecting rod bolts, and much more!
    I hope you guys enjoy this super long video, I apologize again if its not a professional level video, but I really wanted to give you guys and insight of how a 4g63 is assembled and my ways of getting the job done!
    I appreciate everyone that watches these videos, shares them, and supports me, you guys have no idea how much that means to me!
    I hope that you guys can take a thing or two away from this video, and I really appreciate you guys watching this video! Please feel free to like, comment and subscribe, and activate the notification bell as I will be posting more of these technical videos in the next coming weeks!

    UA-cam recommended this video to me and I’m in the middle of building a long rod 7 bolt 4g63 myself. Glad I saw this, I’ll be rewatching this 5 or 6 times.

    If ure using the same gasket for the torque plate, then that gasket is already crushed. So a head gasket needs to be sacrificed for the torque plate bore process?

    I have a 4g63 that was recently rebuilt but the rings apparently failed. I am having excess blowby and the mechanic says it needs to replace the rings and valve seals again. Any thoughts on what we missed? Thanks

    • @epoxeclipse
      @epoxeclipse 3 роки тому

      N/A are you talking the 1.8L ? I dont know if you can find a setup to do it, but 14:1 I think is possible you would make more power going 9:1 and boost though.

    • @josefernandez-gi1ne

      @@epoxeclipse It would be a 2.0---class rules

    • @epoxeclipse
      @epoxeclipse 3 роки тому

      @@josefernandez-gi1ne the 4g63 n/a is a 2.0l and also found in 1.8l the 420a/ na is 2.0l. Stock it has ok compression but lots of na cars go higher, but it's rather costly to get power na out of these. Free flowing exhaust, decent cold air intake is a start.

  • @jyedawg2059
    @jyedawg2059 3 роки тому

    the 4g63 has forged internals...just not forged pistons. The crank and the rods are forged, you said “this crank is cast” is it??

    • @ronialmasi4032
      @ronialmasi4032 3 роки тому

      Yes the crank is definitely cast. Rods are powdered metal rods
