why you should reconsider hawai’i:
Tourists damage their Culturally significant landmarks, as well as the hawaiian govt. tries to bulldoze and destroy these sites to make hotels for more tourists.
Cost of living in hawaii leaves Indigenous Hawaiian’s homeless and struggling to find housing. The govt. sends police to beat and attack these homeless Indigenous Hawaiian’s because it looks bad for tourism. Cost of living for Indigenous hawaiian’s is close to the millions.
Tourism does NOT benefit Indigenous Hawaiians or Hawai’i. They are forced to work tourism because its the only way they can afford to pay hundreds of thousands in rent every year. As well as tourism takes advantage of racist stereotypes forcing Native Hawaiians to dress in non-cultural clothing (example: grass skirts, coconut bra’s), dress up as moana, put on eccentric displays for tourists just to pay rent.
Covid-19 numbers are causing people living in Hawai’i in particular the Natives to have lower access to hospitalized care during covid-19. There hospitals are underfunded and small.
Indigenous communities are forced to isolate at home when they need hospitals care and a safe place to isolate (the tourist hotels are not offering help during iso).
Tourism has allowed an increase in crime and violence targeting Indigenous communities as well as Child sex trafficking.
Natives are being FINED to limit their water consumption so tourists can get theirs.
Natives cannot even use their own water!!

THIS LOOKS AMAZING. Got choked up when Josh realized he got the convertible and how excited he was about how ISI would react and etc. you guys are allowing us to live vicariously through you and its great.
Me and my husband do the same thing, we like to drive around in the nicer neighborhoods and look at the big houses, and dream of one day owning one. We wait until the sun is setting, we open the sunroof, and turn on some jazz music and go on our evening drives. And now our daughter likes to go with us as well.
*THIS* is how you vacation!! Living your best lives! You deserve it! 🙌🏾
I haven't watched this yet but I'm so conflicted. I LOVE Josh and Isi and I LOVE seeing vlogs and anything they upload, but I also want them to enjoy their bday/anniversary trip without feeling the need to record and edit it for us! Ughhh!! I'm so conflicted! But I'll watch it now tho.
If it helps now they can mark their vacation and purchases as business expenses.

Not going to lie, I cried while watching this 😂. This was so sweet. My boyfriend and I really need a vacation. We went to the mountains in Denver a few years back and it was beautiful!! We plan on renting a beach house for my Bday in December. This was so sweet! Enjoy your bday ISI ❤️

I have heard about this in the past, but since then so many people I’ve seen in the media- including Instagram, UA-cam, and tv- have still been traveling there so I was guessing things weren’t really that bad. I myself even wanted to visit some day. Hopefully this information gains more awareness. 🙏🏾
