It’s the same for me, found isis about 3 years ago (honestly think it’s more caz it was waaaaay before COVID) and from there I’ve definitely raised my standard in every aspect of my life

Bachelor/Bachelorette parties I think are an older ‘tradition’ stemming from the idea that people who start having kids right after marriage. So the whole ‘last night as a single’ vibe I think started as ‘last night not think about being parents’. Anyone else think this Or is that just me?
I agree with you Isi, keep the same mindset from being a girlfriend to a wife. If you know you've been loyal, respectful, supportive, fun (etc)...why change that?! 33mins. I think y’all were too lit to understand their question. I believe the question was more on the lines of how much would you be willing to give someone comfortably without getting a dime back. Like say if it’s your friend or your cousin and they asked to borrow some money if you have no expectation of getting it back what is the largest amount that you would gift.

Hey yall! I love you guys but you probably didn't know that a lot of the locals of Hawaii are very against tourists going to the island, so that might have been the case with the uber driver. There have been a lot of issues with tourists in Hawaii disrespecting the land/culture and a lot of the ecosystem is dying because of all the traction to the islands

Once you get married, you will understand what it means to truly be single. It has nothing to do with being faithful/ cheating etc., it’s more so once you are married you are literally ONE. It will make more sense after the first couple of months of your marriage. - signed married for 2years, 1kid - together for almost 9 years now.
I can see that but at the same time…People should look at their relationship before marriage as still not being single…cause then why be with someone monogamously, committed for years…all to say ‘you’re single, until you’re married’? That’s very odd to me. I can see the ‘freedom’ being gone more once marriage has been solidified, but is that really mutually exclusive to the definition of being single? 🤔 cause people have kids before marriage.. and I don’t hear anyone saying they’re single then. So I think it’s more-so just revolved around your freedom without kids. Not marriage. If that makes sense? But that’s just how I see it.
@@TheCRYSTALLURE I think you’re missing what I’m saying. Spiritually, under the law of the lord and under the law of the land you become one. That’s the importance of marriage. It’s in your thinking, the way you make decisions and the way you plan in general. You have to experience it in order to understand. I had the same thought process before getting married.

I dont have to experience being one or married to know that that’s what marriage solidifies 🤔🤨 (for some people, not all cause some people don’t believe in marriage). And not all people follow the Bible either, yet some still live a similar life. And Josh & Isi are the perfect example of doing everything you said prior to marriage. They are having the “as one” thought process & they’re only engaged so..🧐? I’m confused.
All I’m saying is. You become one the minute you state your in it with that one person, to me it’s not just at the alter once the band is on. 🤷🏾♀️Which is the commitment phase prior to marriage. And the only way that someone wouldn’t think they are one prior to marriage is if they don’t believe in giving them self fully over to their partner. A marriage band shouldn’t give someone the go ahead to all of a sudden start acting as if they aren’t single…you haven’t been single x amount of time anyway, you’ve been in a committed relationship for however long prior to marriage.
Therefore, I think being one should be solidified before marriage as well, not just after. It’s the way one thinks and acts as you said.
So someone still thinking they’re single before they get married just because they don’t have a ring is absurd to me because then it gives people the false pretense that they can do whatever in a committed relationship. Being committed prior to marriage is the test of time. I think that one individual needs to believe in being one to the fullest extent by being faithful, making decisions etc…as a whole because they see a future with that person. Prime example: If people were more committed prior to marriage like Josh & Isi by saying “us”, doing things to make sure “they” are taken care of. Making plans for “their” future, then you’ve become one before marriage. Did they experience marriage prior to stating or doing those things to know that they have become one? No. They were committed to each other prior to the wedding band & fully invested in each other cause they knew they wanted to be together to build a future together.

I am having the temperature problem with my roommate and I do exactly what Josh does. Since my roommate is not there most of the time I make it whatever temperature I want, but when she comes back and goes to sleep in particular she makes it cold, so when u wake up I am shivering and immediately turn it up.

For the bachelor/bachelorette parties part: to me while you are in a relationship prior to getting married (obviously) it’s still a different level of commitment. Even getting engaged brings on a different level of commitment/permanence. I haven’t been married before but marriage deepens your relationship. Not only are you strengthening your bond but your now tied to that person financially, legally, spiritually, etc. In some cases this could even be your last night alone because your moving in together now that you’re married. Hence the last night of being single
