But nobody has done any what I believe to be really good demo yet, except guys like Marshal Arnold , Starsky Carr, Andrew Huang. I was very disappointed in how Expressive E themselves demoed the Osmose. There are a couple of artists out there that I’ve actually put it to some electronic ambient style music, but not a whole lot. So hopefully the demo that I do will be getting more towards little bit more heavier or intense electronic music using that instrument.
At this price, you simply cannot get a better sounding analog poly synth, especially new. Bring your own effects. Those pedals sound so good!!!! Amazing!!!

Great work! To me it proves how important it is to look at things from a different perspective sometimes. I've spent 2 months with this synth, totally ignoring the factory presets (big mistake) and now I just realised I've been missing out. Also very impressed with the use of Digitech pedals! The sounds around 12:00 and 15:40 blew my mind. Keep it up man!✌
Thanks appreciate the support. Yeah i love taking the presets when i get a knew synth and just exploring the knobs and getting lost in knob twisting them into something totally different. I cant recommend those 3 pedals enough they are awesome and usually you can pick them up for cheap. There are some huge sounds in the presets i only got to like 6 of them lol. Do you have a keyboard with aftertouch you are using? Again i appreciate you taking time to watch the show. 🥷
Love Behringer or hate 'em, the Pro-800 is a lot of synth for the money. Its such a sweet sounding machine (IMO same character but BETTER than the original, quicker envelopes etc).

Make it a must. Heres my honest opinion. Its not the most flexible of synths , for what it does, it does well. It can sound like a prophet and a roland jx or juno . Perhaps a little oberheim flavour at times. Can you imagine a.mk 2 with Hp and more modulation routing 🤯
@@synthsamuraiproductions I think you asked this before but never got around to a answer. I got the X, Ensoniq ESQ1 & SD-1 , woldorf Blofeld and few others which are all really good poly synths. Not analog but all sound very good. X is a monster synth sound wise. It's huge sounding and very diverse. The thing that throws most people off about the investment and the most important thing to know before buying it, in my opinion. Is that the sequencer uses the roland i-ARP tech and isn't a typical sequencer. It can't be chained / slaved and is very much built for the live performance style player.
Killer deal. People are so lucky today!!! In my day you got a Poly-800 for that much cash and it was used and beat-up! Just a suggestion, but see if there's a limiter/compressor you can use on your final video 'audio', cuz sometimes its soft and sometimes its loud. Thanks for the run-through. I might need to make some space for this incredible little synth!
Its worth is for sure. God Bless Behringer for making these for the everyman. I have noticed that as well about the audio. Is it the mic audio or the synth audio?
@@synthsamuraiproductions the benefit is that all your audio will come out at (roughly) the same level/volume, so the user doesn't have to ride the volume knob. i think the issue was going from one segment to another, and typically the voice is low, but not sure. i did have to ride the fader for this one. good to know for making music, too. compression is a WHOLE deal that we all need to learn better! you're doing great!

I think if you like the original and want an 8 voice analogue polyphonic beast then thats your synth cant beat the price. I am not a huge fan of the membrane buttons and the Ui. But it is true to the original. I would like to have seen Behringer release this under their own name and Call is the The Black Diamond. But now they have the platform they can pump these 8 voice polys out no prob. The polykeys are coming now uBXa is bout ready to ship. Gotta video coming later today on that.
During the 2 weeks I had it I did get lost in it for hours at a time. I spent most of that in "live" mode - none of the presets really grabbed me. Modwheel to vibrato and AT to cutoff in unison provided some fantastic sounds. Additional paramaters access is pretty well implemented, but I just could not get past being a bit annoyed with it. I did find my ears liking autotune precision set to 1.5 cents... MonoPoly will have to keep doing pads for now I guess.
Have to agree the interface saving presets switching presets is annoying. I guess its true to the original in that sense but also annoying. Im into behringer making updates clones with the annoyance of the past removed lol. I haven’t messed around too much yet with so gonna spend some time in live mode. 🥷
@@synthsamuraiproductions I am not sure what all synths you have, but I think they include the 3 Korg RPi synths, a MonoPoly, a Model D, a Neutron, and now this? Those cover a LOT of territory. (If someone is lucky enough to find an EXT Box I can see an argument for the SE-02 over the Model D, but they are hard to find and lacking one is a dealbreaker IMHO) I could see an argument for a K-2 (especially at the current ridiculous price of $200) and a 2600 (also ridiculous at $500), but neither are what one would call user friendly. I think we might be in similar situations for different reasons - in need of a good full size MPE/PolyAT controller. Hopefully Arturia or NI (I love the light guide) will announce one soon. The recent Arturia essentials Mk3 do NOT have MPE or CV I/O so that is out.

I also hope the next Native Instruments series will announce soon and will have it though that one makes the most sense for someone focused on Komplete Ultimate and/or V Collection IMHO. Hydrasynth, Iridium, Quantum, and Super Gemini all have it, but $$$. (Hydrasynth is $200 off right now though...💸)
Weird question. If you use a Monophonic synth, MS-1 for example, to control a polyphonic synth like the Pro8000, is the sound true polyphony? The context is Midi out, using the hold and arp on the MS-1.

Its a FAT brass .... i dont know how the did it at this price - im baffled and a tad perplexed - but just the brass alone is worth the entrance .- They also made a - in MY humble opinion - wonderfull sounding analog polysynth , in the Deepmind - with a fine keybed.- still use it everyday , -mostly as a midicontroller for my Dreadbox machines(best hornsounds on the planet) - but the pad-sounds are amazing - BUT, Behringer are ruthless copiers , with a cheap chineese workforce , -And i DO think Behringer has a trend going for cheepness, instead of novel R&D- and all that "Cheap Money" cannot be anything but a showstopper for future "DreadBox" smalltimers , just hanging in there with "Expensive Money" - and thats too bad - I - just think its something to take into youre decision when you "Vote with your Wallet" for what kind of gear you wanna call vintage and iconic , in YOUR future..... Right !? Thats the reason im not JUMPING any gun , but rather take a backseat , and save up for the MPE capable GS e7 , from Argentina - alright , i got a Seaboard Rise , and THATS a match made in a common religious cosmological or transcendent supernatural place where beings such as deities, angels, souls, saints, or venerated ancestors are said to originate, be enthroned, or reside.

Near the end of the video there is a preset called “movies” i demo and that one screams with the effects added. i love the dreadbox synths almost bought the abyss a few times but got gun shy with price. But someday ill pick one up for sure. Gonna pair up the pro 800 with the Korg opsix wavestate and modwave soon see how thats sounds. Appreciate you taking time to watch the show !

I'm glad they didn't use the 3320 filters on this . The one a that lose Bass on a boost of resonance they have a ssm2040 quality . Very very nice imo.
